John Graham, father of missing University of Virginia student, Hannah Graham gave an emotional speech on Sept. 21, to thank the public for their support and to ask them for their continued efforts in finding Hannah.
The search for missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham, 18, continues. On Sept. 21, Hannah’s parents, John Graham and Sue Graham gave a heartbreaking speech urging the public to come forward with any information that they might have about her Sept. 13, disappearance on the same day that the police identified Jesse Matthews as a person of interest.
Hannah Graham Parents Plea — Urge Public To Come Forward With Information
On Sept. 21, Hannah’s devastated parents, John and Sue stepped out in front of reporters in Charlottesville, Virginia to thank the public for their support and to ask for their continued support.
John thanked the over 1000 volunteers who have been dedicating their time and efforts into helping bring Hannah home safely. He said, “I think that the reason that Hannah has such marvelous support is that this is every parent’s worst nightmare.”
“Who saw Hannah?” John asked at the conference. “Somebody knows what happened to Hannah,” he said while urging people to think if they have even the smallest bit of information that might be helpful to the case.
Sue was overcome with grief and broke out into tears several times as John spoke lovingly about what an amazing person and daughter Hannah is, explaining, “Last Spring Break, instead of hanging around on the beach, she spent a week in Tuscaloosa rebuilding houses.”
“Sue and I are utterly overwhelmed by this support for Hannah. We thank you from the bottom of our heart,” John said. “All we want to do now is bring Hannah home safely.”
Person Of Interest Identified In Hannah Graham Case The Same Day As Parents Plea
While Hannah’s parents and community continue the search for the missing teen, the man who was seen following Hannah the day that she disappeared has been identified by police as Jesse Matthew.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Charlottesville Police Chief Timothy Longo announced during a press conference on Sept. 21, that police have identified the man, and want to talk to Jesse.
“I believe Jesse Matthew was the last person she was seen with before she vanished off the face of the Earth,” Timothy said according to CNN . “We want to talk to him.”
“I hope and pray that we might have an opportunity to talk to Jesse Matthew again because I think he can help us find Hannah Graham,” the police chief said.
Daily Mail reports that Jesse, who is reportedly a University of Virginia nursing assistant, allegedly confirmed he met the UVA sophomore in Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall on the night she went missing, Sept. 12, and bought her drinks at a local bar.
