At the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Sept. 19, Taylor Swift totally rocked the stage as she performed a medley of her greatest hits, finishing with ‘Shake It Off.’ Watch her amazing performance!
Taylor Swift, 24, continued her reinvention from country singer into bonafide pop star at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Sept. 19. Though she performed some of her older, more country-leaning hits, her performance and vocals were bubblegum in the best way. Watch the video, if only to hear her throw Katy Perry, 29, some shade…
Taylor Swift At iHeartRadio Music Festival: Performs Medley Of Hit Songs — Watch
Taylor opened her medley with a taped skit which was nowhere near as memorable as the performance that would follow. She started with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” before segueing into “22,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “Love Story” and finishing with “Shake It Off” — of course!
In the intro prior to “Shake It Off,” you can hear Taylor say, in part: “I think that you have things going on in your lives. You’ve got deadlines, you’ve got things stressing you out, you’ve got people saying things about you that aren’t true. You have frenemies, and liars, and dirty, dirty cheats.”
What do you do about all those things, well, you shake ’em off, of course.
However, we have to wonder — is she referencing her not-so-subtle feud with Katy Perry? In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Taylor revealed that the song “Bad Blood” — from her upcoming 1989 — is about a bad friend who betrayed her by nearly sabotaging an arena tour.
Play nice, ladies!
Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ Drops October 27
In any case, Taylor looks totally gorge on that iHeartRadio stage in a sparkly, bubblegum pink crop top and matching skater skirt. Her beauty look was sweet and simple, as always, with a black liquid cat eye and dramatic red lip and red nails to match.
While Taylor’s performance was undoubtedly a fun time for all, we wish that she would have used the performance as an opportunity to give her fans at least a preview of one of her new songs! 1989 drops Oct. 27 — basically a lifetime away for diehard Swifties.
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of Taylor’s performance? And was she shading Katy Perry?! Let us know!
