Jennifer Lawrence has been victimized once again by a hacker intent on releasing stolen nude photos of female celebrities. Considering that one of the photos allegedly shows Jennifer in a compromising position in her Mystique makeup, many have questioned whether her role in future ‘X-Men’ films will be safe. HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE truth.
It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Lawrence, 24, is being punished once again by the hacker behind the facetiously-titled “The Fappening Part 2″ after a spate of new photos were released of the actress allegedly in a number of compromising positions. One of said photos allegedly has Jen in her X-Men makeup as Mystique, and many fans have wondered whether Jennifer’s future with the franchise has been compromised.
Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique Nude Photo: Will She Be Fired From ‘X-Men’? Truth
“Jennifer’s role in future X-Men films will not be affected at all over the photo leak,” a source close to the franchise has revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “People close to the film are aware things like this happen and it shouldn’t do anything to her role because she never did it on purpose.
“Plus, how would it look if they got rid of her after keeping Bryan Singer around after his scandal?” our source added, referencing his own heavily-publicized scandals.
“Jen is fine,” our insider reiterates.
We’re so glad that Jen will be safe — not that we had any doubts — but one can never know. Following the first wave of nude photos, a source revealed to HollywoodLife.com that Jen was worried that they would hurt her career.
For example, after nude photos were leaked of Vanessa Hudgens when she was just 18, the actress was forced to apologize and Disney condemned her for her actions — it’s great that Jennifer’s studio will not be taking a similar route. Jennifer’s photos were stolen, after all, and that’s not her fault.
Bryan Singer: ‘X-Men’ Director Accused Of Sexual Assault
Bryan Singer is involved in many of the X-Men films; he directed X-Men, X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and he’ll also be at the helm of the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, which will film in 2015 in Montreal.
In April 2014, Bryan was accused of the sexual assault of a minor; his legal team blasted the claims as false, and in August 2014, his accuser dropped the suit.
Bryan was also accused in May 2014 of a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in 2006; the accuser is a London-based man who was a minor at the time. Bryan had been in town for Superman Returns when the alleged assault took place.
Indeed, if Marvel and 20th Century Fox turned against Jennifer during this terrible time for her, it would reflect very poorly on them considering the accusations which have been levied against Bryan.
HollywoodLifers, are you glad that you’ll be able to see more of Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique in upcoming X-Men films? Let us know.
