Bryan Cranston of ‘Breaking Bad’ fame returns to television! Kind of. In a new promo for TBS’ MLB postseason, The One Who Knocks passionately describes his new one-man show about his one true love — baseball. Watch the hilarious video!
Much in the vein of his Emmys promo for spoof reality series Barely Legal Pawn, Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, 58, returns to television in a new promo for TBS promoting their upcoming coverage of the MLB postseason. In the video, Bryan passionately describes how he was inspired by Bugs Bunny to write a one-man show about baseball. (Oh, and he dances around in a ballet outfit. It’s a must-see.)

“I felt it was just time for me to get back to the basics by diving right into my great passion: baseball,” Bryan says in a fake behind-the-scenes vignette. “And then it hit me: Why not dramatize the entire MLB postseason?”
Why not, indeed?
“And there were problems,” he admits. “I sunk a lot of money into this. But you never know when inspiration will hit you.” His inspiration being, of course, Bugs Bunny. He sees the cartoon character playing baseball and is utterly captivated.
“The Bugster. Mister B. Any actor who tells you theyre not inspired by Bugs Bunny is, frankly, a liar. Or a hack.”
Bryan Cranston Dances Around In A Ballet Outfit In TBS Promo
As Bryan describes the trials and tribulations of his one-man show — including popcorn concessionaires shouting about their wares while Bryan is acting onstage — we also see him dance around in a ballet outfit and eye black as he is taught by Misty Copeland, one of the leading dancers in the American Ballet Theatre. Bryan is as successful a ballet dancer as you might imagine.
The whole thing is pretty great from start to finish, but my favorite part has got to be when he delivers a dramatic, spoken-word, William Shatner-style rendition of “Take Me Out To The Ball Game.”
TBS’ coverage of the MLB postseason begins September 30.
