Is she or isn’t she? Unfortunately, it looks like Kate Middleton has yet to make a decision about whether or not she will be heading to the island of Malta on her first-ever solo overseas trip as a royal. Poor thing!
Kate Middleton, 32, is pregnant with her second child and once again suffering hyperemesis gravidarum. Even though she is braving her illness, it has started to interfere with her royal duties — including her upcoming trip to Malta on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II. So, will the Duchess be able to make it overseas?
Kate Middleton’s Morning Sickness May Keep Her From Malta
It turns out that Duchess Kate is still dealing with her acute morning sickness, reports People magazine, and now it may interfere with a third public engagement since her announcement.
Kate’s trip to the island of Malta is still undecided, even just days before she is supposed to jet off and fill in for the Queen. The palace has called this event specifically a “seminal moment” for Kate.
This Malta trip is a huge deal for Kate, or any royal, as Kate has been asked specifically to take the Queen’s place for two days during her trip. If Kate can’t make it, chances are her husband, Prince William, 32, will take her place instead.
Right now, Kate’s trip is up in the air until a doctor gives her the OK to travel again. Fingers crossed we will finally get to see the pregnant Duchess once again!
Kate Has Skipped Two Appearances Since Pregnancy Announcement
If Kate is forced to skip Malta, it will actually be her third cancelled engagement.
First, Kate missed out on an event at Oxford University on the very same day she was forced to announce her pregnancy due to her illness. Then, she later missed the Invictus opening game ceremony in London, England.
We’re rooting for you, Kate!
