For the first time in 50 years, Barbra Streisand made an appearance on late night TV! The audience was in for a treat as she performed an amazing duet with Jimmy Fallon, who filled in for Elvis, on ‘The Tonight Show!’
Barbra Streisand, 72, appeared on The Tonight Show to promote her new album, Partners which features some pretty impressive duets! Luckily, Jimmy Fallon was up for the challenge of filling in for the high-profile musicians which turned into a very entertaining performance! Watch it right here.
Barbra Streisand & Jimmy Fallon’s Elvis Duet
It has been a while since Barbra Streisand has made an appearance on late night TV but she returned with a bang on The Tonight Show on September 15.
“I want to give everybody a taste of what this album has to offer,” explained Jimmy. And that is exactly what he did when he helped Barbra perform a medley of duets off her album.
The first song the pair performed was an Elvis classic, “Love Me Tender.” Jimmy had some big shoes to fill but with his amaze wig, we think he did an exceptional job! Following that number, Jimmy proceeded to fill the role of country star, Blake Shelton, and Grammy winner, Michael Buble!
Jimmy Impressed With Barbra
“I gotta be honest,” Fallon said. “I thought you might be a nightmare, or a diva. But, you were nice to everybody here. You are allowed to be a diva. What did you do with Barbra Streisand?!”
“I’m quite ordinary,” Barbra replied. “We lead a simple life. We don’t really like the big-time stardom thing. We take little trips in a truck. My husband drives.”
We love how down to earth Barbra is! What did YOU think of her appearance on The Tonight Show? Did you love her duet with Jimmy? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
