Rosie O’Donnell’s Weight Loss On Premiere Of ‘The View’
Although she wasn’t meant to return, Rosie headed back to co-host The View and she is looking better than ever!
During the beginning of the show, Rosie updated the audience on her life by saying, “I got married, I have a new baby…I lost 50 something pounds with surgery.” You go girl!
Rosie explained that having a heart attack back in 2012 is what prompted her to shed the pounds. Since then, she has tried to live a healthier lifestyle, which all began with her weight loss surgery.
All About Rosie’s Weight Loss Surgery
After bringing up her incredible weight loss on the premiere of the The View, Rosie explained that having the procedure, called vertical gastric sleeve, made all the difference. “It can save your life, it’s a last chance thing,” she explained.
“It’s very different than when you think of bypass surgery. It’s newer,” Rosie told Access Hollywood in February. “”It’s a tool, it’s not an answer. You can’t just get surgery and go ‘I’m done’ and keep eating the way you did. You have to change the way you eat, you have to exercise.”
While she doesn’t think she’s “sexy,” she is proud of her figure — which she should be!
“Sexy? No,” she said. “No, I feel better that, like, my tummy’s not in the way, you know, when everybody’s naked. But no. I feel maybe less shame a little bit.”
