In real life, Teresa and Joe Giudice’s jail sentencing was just pushed back again to October 2, but on ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’, the reality is settling in.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been following Teresa Giudice, 42, and Joe Giudice‘s legal woes all season long. The couple finally pleaded guilty to fraud, and the September 14 episode covered the troubling aftermath, as their possible jail time creeps up.
‘RHONJ’ Recap: Teresa Giudice Keeps Her Focus On Family
Teresa pleaded guilty to fraud on the September 7 episode of RHONJ, and on the September 14 round, she kept her focus on her family.
“They’re safe with mommy and daddy,” the troubled housewife said to the cameras about her children. This comes just one week after her 13-year-old daughter Gia broke down, telling her mom that she knows what’s going on.
“I wanted to cry, but you guys give me the strength,” Teresa told her kids, and Gia assured her that she is being a good mother.
The Housewives Worry About Teresa Giudice’s Potential Jail Time
It’s not just Gia who’s having a tough time. Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa Gorga have the Giudice’s on their mind — if the couple is sent to jail, they will be looking after the kids, after all.
“Melissa and I worry so much about Teresa and Joe’s situation,” Joe says, almost in tears. “It’s hard to talk about it.”
Amber Marchese — who spent the episode with doctor’s visits, as she’s worried sick that her cancer may have come back — also calls Teresa to check up on her.
“I hate to say I’m good,” Teresa says over the phone, while she’s working out with her personal trainer (which is probably pretty pricey, yet still, Teresa remains more concerned about Amber annoying her, rather than her gym spending.) “This is what keeps me sane,” she says, hitting a punching bag.
One housewife who doesn’t bother Teresa is Dina Manzo. She tells her that she’s decided not to go on the ladies’ trip to Florida because of everything going on in her life. She wants to stay with her girls because of “everything going on.”
Dina says that she totally understands, but she’s not happy that she’ll be stuck with all of the crazy women on the trip, now that Teresa isn’t going. Hmmm…something sounds wrong with that sentence.
