Fans are shockingly standing by and supporting Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson after he was indicted for child abuse. They took to Twitter to sound off on the case and many claimed he shouldn’t be punished for disciplining his own child.
While many are furious that Adrian Peterson, 29, spanked his 4-year-old son with a switch, leaving the child with cuts and bruises on his leg, some of his fans are supporting the NFL player’s decision to discipline his kid. We are astounded by the amount of support Adrian is receiving for hitting an innocent 4-year-old child. His fans don’t understand why what Adrian did is considered abuse and even brought up another shocking case from the past to help plead their case.
Adrian Peterson: Fans Defend Running Back Over Alleged Child Abuse
It didn’t take long for Adrian’s fans to come to his defense over the child abuse indictment. Some of his fans even brought up the Casey Anthony, 28, case to help support their claim that what Adrian did wasn’t abuse. His fans, some of whom were also spanked as children, think it’s totally normal to be disciplined this way. See their strongly-worded tweets here:

I don’t get why Adrian Peterson is in legal trouble for disciplining his own kid. Back in the day kids got a lot worse as discipline.

If Adrian Peterson is getting indicted for spanking his son with a twig, my parents should be held in a maximum security prison right now.
