South Carolina’s Social Services has revealed that Tim Jones, the father of 5 accused of killing and dumping his kids bodies on a dirt road, was investigated for abuse three times, including twice in 2014.
Timothy Ray Jones, 32, was under investigation by the South Carolina DSS for allegedly abusing his 5 children — Merah, 8, Elias, 7, Nahtahn, 6, Gabriel, 2, and Elaine Marie, 1 — when they were reported missing by their mother. The DSS has revealed that they visited Tim’s home after he was reported to DSS three times in the past three years.
Tim Jones Was Investigated By Social Services 3 Times For Allegedly Abusing 5 Kids
Horrifying new details about the circumstances surrounding the murder of 5 innocent children have been revealed.
The same day it was reported that Tim had confessed to killing and dumping his children, the South Carolina Department of Social Services released a statement revealing that they were currently working on an open investigation into his parenting tactics.
DSS first paid a visit to the mobile home Tim shared with his 5 children in 2011, following a report that suggested there was abuse going on in the home.
They later visited the home in May and August of 2014 and suggested that although Tim seemed overwhelmed by raising 5 children by himself, that all 5 children were “clean, groomed, and appropriately dressed,” reports local news affiliate WSOC-TV.
The investigation into Tim and his home was still open when his ex-wife and the mother of all 5 children reported them missing on Sept. 3.
Sadly, it wasn’t until he was arrested during a routine traffic stop in Mississippi on Sept. 6 that Tim reportedly confessed to killing his own children, later leading authorities to where he allegedly dumped their bodies in Alabama.
Our thoughts remain with the children’s mother and the rest of their families during this difficult time.
