As the nation mourns the terrorist attacks that tore down the Twin Towers, damaged the Pentagon and caused United flight 93 to crash in Pennsylvania,Sept. 11, 2001, stars like Snooki, Carson Daly, Jessica Chastain, and Russell Simmons, are tweeting their condolences and memories.

Earlier this morning, a special tribute took place at the 9/11 Memorial in New York City. Now, stars are tweeting about the 13th anniversary of the attacks.
Everyone can remember exactly where they were — and what they were doing — when they found out about the Sept. 11, 2011 attacks.

9/11 Memorial Ceremony: Moments Of Silence For Victims Of Attack
A commemoration ceremony took place at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza to honor those who lost their lives on Sept. 11. These were the dedicated moments of silence to remember those who lost their lives that day:
8:46 a.m.: Citywide moment of silence, in observance of the first plane striking the North Tower; families of victims of 2001 and 1993 attacks will begin reading the names
9:03 a.m.: Moment of silence in observance of the second plane striking the South Tower
9:37 a.m.: Moment of silence in observance of Flight 77 striking the Pentagon
9:59 a.m.: Moment of silence in observance of the South Tower falling
10:03 a.m.: Moment of silence in observance of Flight 93 crashing near Shanksville, Pa.
10:28 a.m.: Moment of silence in observance of the North Tower falling
