Despite an earlier report, claiming Apollo Nida turned himself in to authorities, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star failed to show up by his appointed deadline. If he fails to surrender himself by 8 P.M. ET on Sept. 10 — his new extended deadline — he’ll be facing dire consequences, the authorities EXCLUSIVELY tell HollywoodLife.com! Apollo has an eight-year prison sentence for money laundering and check fraud.
“Apollo Nida has not showed up or surrendered himself,” Gretchen Fortin, Deputy US Marshall in Atlanta, tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Phaedra Parks‘ husband had an original deadline of 3 P.M. ET, but he did not show up. His deadline has now been set for 8 P.M. ET. If he does not show up by his newly appointed time, there will be an arrest warrant issued.
Apparently, Apollo did call the police station this morning and said he was on his way, but he never showed.
Apollo reportedly got cold feet because Phaedra refused to put money in his prison account while he was locked up, TMZ reports. Allegedly, the Housewife also refused to bring their kids to prison to visit him and that caused him to lose it.
An insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Phaedra hasn’t been speaking to Apollo.
“She’s disgusted. She’s angry. But because of Ayden And Dylan, [her kids], she’s keeping face and being the nice dutiful wife. This entire ordeal is extremely hard on her not because Apollo’s going to jail, she thinks he’s getting what he deserves, it’s most difficult because her boys have lost their father. That, to her, is the biggest loss of it all,” our source says.
Luckily, we’ll be able to catch all the drama on the next season of RHOA.
“Bravo has been shooting with Apollo and getting a lot with him leading up to him going to jail,” a source tells us. “So viewers will see it covered on season seven.”
HollywoodLifers, do YOU think Phaedra should divorce Apollo?
