‘America’s Got Talent’ returned on Sept. 10, with a high energy performance by ‘The Muppets,’ and a grueling elimination that narrowed the 12 remaining acts down to the top 6!
The group was cut in half on the Sept. 10, episode of America’s Got Talent! It was time to say goodbye to six amazing acts as the remaining contestants moved on to the final week of competition, and one step closer to the coveted million dollar prize! Read below to find out which acts were sent home!
‘America’s Got Talent’ Top 12 Elimination — Six Acts Were Sent Home
After an adorable performance by The Muppets, it was time to get down to business and find out which three acts were on the bubble of being eliminated.
Heart-throb, Miguel Dakota, singers Sons of Serendip and cello playing duo Emil and Dariel were the three acts that needed the nights, “Snapple save!”
Emily West and young singer, Mara Justine were called up first to find out who would be the first act sent through to the finals. While both ladies have powerhouse vocals, Emily was sent through sending the adorable 12-year-old home. Howard Stern, 60, told her ” I wouldn’t be surprised if you won the whole thing, congratulations!”
Dancers Blue Journey and group act, Acroarmy went head-to-head and America voted to send the talented acrobats through while sending the amazing dancing duo home. Howie Mandel, 58, said, “this is exactly what we need, this is exactly what America’s Got Talent is all about. Welcome to the finals!”
Season five runner-up singer, Jackie Evancho was on hand to prove just how amazing the shows talent really is! The singer was on the show in 2010 when she was just 10-years-old! Since then, she has recorded five albums and brought down the house once again with her performance of “Think of Me” from the Phantom of the Opera.
More Heartbreaking Eliminations
Balancing act Christian Stoinev and 12-year-old singer, Quintavious Johnson found out their fate next. The hilarious and power house vocalist was sent through to the finals, saying goodbye to the balancer and his dog Scooby! Heidi said, “America got it right. I think you are doing a fabulous job, and good luck in the next round. Keep it up!”
All three magical acts, David and Leeman, Mike Super and Mat Franco were called up next. In a super intense moment it was announced that Mat would continue on in the competition. Howard said, “You are the only magician left. I think you have a really great chance, the singing votes could get split up, I think you’ve really got a shot!”
Finally it all came down to the Snapple save acts. All three acts were called up and America voted to save the amazingly talented Sons of Serendip! Howie told the group,”Be true to your talent, keep doing what you are doing and hopefully you take it all the way!”
Then it was time to the judges and find out which act would be taking the final spot in the finals. The judges were split on who to choose! Heidi and Mel B both went with Miguel, while Howie and Howard chose the cello playing duo, Emil and Dariel. It was then time to turn it back to last night’s votes, and America chose to send Miguel Dakota through to the final!
Definitely some shocking eliminations and saves tonight! It all comes to an end next week as the top six acts perform in the finals for the million dollar prize!
