Naeem Khan’s Runway — Soft, Feminine Waves For Spring 2015
A killer blow-out looks great on everyone, even a Duchess like Kate Middleton! We are totally loving this look and want to rock it all year round. Luckily, we chatted with the hairstylists backstage and got the scoop.
Here’s the exact how to:
“Prep damp hair with mousse from roots to ends for body and texture.
Blow dry using a round boar bristle brush.
Section hair and secure with bobby pins.
Spray Major Body 3-In-1 Volumizing Spray on random big sections and curl strands with a medium 1 ¼ or 1” barrell curling iron in a downward direction to create loose, lived in waves
Brush out curls using a flat boar bristle brush to soften and blend the look
Spray Major Body 3-In-1 Volumizing Spray to set the look and keep it in place
Mist Sally Hershberger Hyper Hydration Spray Serum with Smart Keratin to smooth and add glossy shine to complete the look.”
Naeem Khan’s Makeup — Inspired By Lauren Bacall
The makeup was led by NARS Director of Global Artistry James Boehmer.
“We liked the ideas of this classic, old Hollywood Naeem girl but a little more ‘undone.’ Fresh skin, glossy eyes and a stained lip is where we landed.”
James told HollywoodLife.com that on top of a neutral shadow, he added Triple X Lip Gloss on eyelids just before models hit the runway.
He applied Ingrid Audacious Lipstick in the center of the lips and blended out with a brush. The look was supposed to be as if the girl was drinking red wine and it had stained her lips.
Nails were kept neutral — elegant and glamourous. Julie Kandalec used essie’s Fiji on fingers and toes.
