‘America’s Got Talent’ Top 12 Acts Perform
Mara Justine may only be 12-years-old but she took the stage like a champ and sang Pink‘s song, “F**kin Perfect.” Mel B, 39, said, “That was just perfect in every single way. That was a proper performance, you can be pleased with that because I am.” Howard Stern, 60, agreed saying, ” we have seen a personal trajectory with you and its perfect. Tonight you delivered in spades and graduated America’s Got Talent college.”
Fast talking magicians David and Leeman were back with a new trick called “Ultimate Scratchoff Lottery Ticket.” Each judge had to choose a balloon and yell out a number as the guys popped them. After a very intricate trick, the boys dazzled the judges and audience alike! Heidi Klum, 41, said, ” you are great entertainers, I love the bantering, maybe you will win the AGT lottery and win the million dollar prize!”
College friends Sons of Serendip have impressed the judges all season long, and tonight was no exception with their rendition of Duran Duran‘s “Ordinary World.” Howie Mandel, 58, said, ” I hope America hears what we hear, and trusts us as judges. You were so beautiful, and musically the most talented group in the competition.”
Christian Stoinev was back, and this week he had something to prove after getting some harsh criticism last week! The hand balancer turned it up a notch and showed off his incredible strength by balancing and spinning on a wobbly thing pole! Apparently leaving his trusty dog Scooby out of the act was a good choice. Mel B said, “I think this has been one of your best performances to date, there was an element to date, and you are a cutie patootie, ‘ look at your with your top off!”
Rocker cello playing brother, Emil and Dariel were back again to make their beloved grandfather that! The teenagers took on the classic Aerosmith song, “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.” Mel B said, “that was just amazing, that was massive, you really owned it and filled up this whole entire room, everyone was on their feet, you guys are very special in deed!” Unfortunately, Heidi disagreed. “I felt like you were a little safe. You usually rock out harder.”
Acroarmy returned to the stage dressed all in red with an intense and fierce dance. The group was back and better than ever! They even created a human pyramid with the male on top balancing on top of the man’s head with just one hand! Howie summed it up best saying, “wow!”
Fan favorite Quintavious Johnson was back and full of confidence singing Mary J. Blige‘s hit ,”I’m Going Down.” As usual, his vocals were on point and the key changes seemed effortless! All four judges gave him a standing ovation, and Howie was even jumping up and down! Howard said, “you have something to special, so special, you just light this room up and you are a contender!” Mel B made a big statement saying, “you could easily win this thing, hands down.”
More Amazingly Talented Acts!
Magician, Mike Super was back and was ready to deliver the, “riskiest performance” he has ever done. He made a prediction nine days ago based off of the audience’s spending habits, and delivered the prediction to Howard on Sept. 8. To make things even crazier, the number he predicted matched up to the currency number! Heidi said, “I don’t know what to say, this was super. I loved it, it was very entertaining!”
Dancing duo, Blue Journey returned after narrowly making it through last week! Mel B said, “your act is very unique, and I love that element of it, but I have to be honest, tonight it was a little bit on the boring side.” Howie agreed saying, “I think we need more, more dancers, more angles, I don’t think you hit it tonight.”
Emily West has been a fan favorite all season, and tonight she gave a stunning performance of Moody Blue‘s song, “Nights In White Satin.” Looking like an old Hollywood movie star, Emily shared her amazing vocals with a sincere performance that got all the judges on their feet. Mel B said, “yet again nailed it. You are almost dream like in a haunting sophisticated way. Well done.”
Adorable magician, Mat Franco was back to impress the judges and leave the audience wondering how he did it! Mat once again needed the use of Mel’s phone. After some incredible magic with cards, all of the judges were once again in awe. Mel B said,” that act was genius to me, and you are really hot!”
Heart-throb Miguel Dakota was the final act of the night. The singer performed The Rolling Stones classic, “Gimme Shelter.” Unfortunately, not all of the judges loved the performance. Heidi said, “I think your voice got lost today. I prefer you on the stage with your guitar where I can hear you clearly.” Howie totally disagreed saying, “you could win this thing, I hope you do!”
