The 25-year-old G.R.L. singer and former ‘X Factor’ contestant died Sept. 5 and now the LA Coroner’s Office has confirmed that she died of a suicide. This is just so sad!
Simone Battle‘s cause of death has been ruled as a suicide by hanging, according to People magazine. The The X Factor finalist was found dead in her home, Sept.6, she was hanging in a closet in her bedroom.

After Simone passed away, her official cause of death was released in this statement: “Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.”
We feel just horrible for her family and friends. Like we told you, Simone was found dead around 8:30am at her home.
“She will be greatly missed and loved,” her dad, Anthony Battle said. “She was an exuberant person and a very loved person.”
Simone auditioned for X Factor by performing “When I Grow Up,” by The Pussycat Dolls. She was eventually eliminated after she made it to the top 17. She ended up joining a reboot of The Pussycat Dolls and they were going by their new name G.R.L.
