Poor Brittany. She just wanted to be accepted. In a clip from The Brittany Murphy Story, Brittany struggles to fit in with her co-stars, Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash.
“That was totally fun,” Brittany said to Alicia and Stacey, before they walked off.
She tried to grab the attention of a crew member, but eventually overheard him making fun of her. Brittany’s insecurity started to show as she wished to be more like her co-stars.
“She’s so beautiful,” Brittany tells her mom.
“Yeah she is, but so are you,” her mom replies. “Just in a different way.”
Brittany didn’t believe her mother’s words. “They think I’m pathetic enough that even a makeover can’t fix me.”
The boy who previously teased Brittany flocked to Alicia. Brittany’s mom assured her that attention from boys wasn’t the kind of attention she wanted or needed as she started her acting career.
Clueless was the movie that shot Brittany to superstardom. She enjoyed numerous successes in films like 8 Mile, Uptown Girls and Girl, Interrupted.
Brittany tragically passed away in 2009, and her death is more controversial than ever five years later.
