A memorial is in the works for EunB, the 22-year-old member of Ladies’ Code who tragically lost her life in a car accident on Sept. 3.
South Korean girl group Ladies’ Code were well on their way to stardom when a minivan containing all five members of the group crashed on Sept. 3 after one of the back wheels fell off. While four of the members luckily survived, vocalist EunB tragically succumbed to her injuries on-site. A memorial will be held on Sept. 5.
EunB Death: Funeral Plans For Ladies’ Code Singer After Tragic Car Crash
“EunB’s remains are attended to at Korea University Anam Hospital. Her funeral will be held on the 5th,” Ladies’ Code’s label Polaris Entertainment revealed in a statement. Unfortunately, no other details are available at this time.
It’s unclear as to whether Ladies’ Code’s huge fanbase will be able to participate, but they have still found ways to honor EunB’s memory. It was her dream to rank #1 on a music chart, and so online communities joined forces to make Ladies’ Code’s song “I’m Fine Thank You” from their 2013 EP Pretty Pretty a #1 hit on several music charts such as Melon, Bugs, Genie, Monkey3, and Olleh, according to AllKPop.com.
Ladies’ Code: RiSe & Sojung Are Out Of Surgery; Ashley & Zuny Recovering From Trauma
It’s not all bad news, however; two of the members, RiSe and Sojung, are out of surgery and on the mend after being seriously injured in the van accident. Polaris’ statement went on to reveal:
“RiSe’s long operation has ended and she’s currently under careful observation. The other members are currently hospitalised in Seoul. Sojung underwent an operation for her bone fracture. Ashley and Zuny did not sustain major injuries, but because of the shock and trauma from the accident they are currently undergoing several examinations and treatment.”
So sad. Our thoughts go out to EunB’s family at this difficult time and to the rest of the members of Ladies’ Code as they heal from their traumatic experience.
