Is Justin Verlander freaking out about facing his baseball fans after he and girlfriend Kate Upton, were hacked and their nude photos were exposed? The Detroit Tigers pitcher has now revealed how the scandal will affect his game.
Will the heartless hackers who published private naked photos of Justin Verlander, 31, and supermodel girlfriend, Kate Upton, 22 rock the confidence of the Detroit Tigers pitcher, when he has his opening game against the Cleveland Indians on Sept. 3?

Justin spoke to reporters on Sept. 3, and according to FoxNews, the pitcher has plans to keep the focus off of the scandal, and on his baseball career. He said, “I’m not going to comment on my personal life. I never have and I never plan on it. I keep my personal life personal. The focus for me is on the Detroit Tigers. I don’t want to take any focus away from this team and what we’re trying to accomplish.”
“Instead of everybody kind of sneaking around and getting questions at specific times, it’s just easier to say, ‘I’m not commenting on that. I’m trying to win a pennant.’ the pitcher told the site.
Despite the scandal being an obvious distraction, Justin told reporters that he would not have a problem blocking out any noisy comments from the crowd, and focusing on the game.
“I’ve always been good at that,” he said. “This is my life. Baseball’s my life. You’re able to focus on that especially when you’re on the mound doing what I’ve done my whole life.”
Justin Verlander: Nervous Baseball Fans Will Harass Him
While it is clear that the pro-baller is not going to let the scandal shake his game up, a source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that the player is nervous about what the fans will try and do to get in his head.
“The Tigers are in a huge playoff push and every win is extremely important and Justin is very nervous that the Cleveland fans are really going to get in his head and heckle him like crazy and taunt him over the pictures of his girlfriend and him being released,” a source revealed. “For a pitcher who needs mental toughness, he is scared that he will be rattled if the fans say anything to him over the scandal.”
It seems like Justin has gotten over his initial thoughts that the fans could interfere with his concentration, and is ready to take on the Cleveland Indians on Sept. 3!
