Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were paid a whopping $2 million for their wedding photos, and in true Brangelina style, it all went to charity.
It’s a given that celebrities these days are paid — and paid well — for their wedding photos, but only Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt could have commanded a cool $2 million for the photos of their Aug. 23 nuptials. A nontraditional family affair, Angie’s dress was doodled on by their six children! So, is it really a surprise that the money lined not their own pockets, but instead went straight to the Jolie-Pitt Foundation?
Brangelina Wedding Photos: Angie & Brad’s $2 Million Payout Went To Charity
This wouldn’t be the first time that Brangelina have used personal milestones in order to give back. After the birth of twins Vivienne and Knox in 2008, People magazine coughed up a reported $14 million, where the first pics of baby Shiloh in 2006 earned the couple $4 million.
Not only do these two not need the money — CelebrityNetWorth.com lists their combined net worth at $385 million — but it’s always been their personal mission to give back whenever possible.
Jolie-Pitt Foundation Established In 2006
The Jolie-Pitt Foundation, established in 2006, aims to “assist with humanitarian crises around the world. To launch the foundation, the pair made donations of $1 million to Doctors Without Borders and Global Action for Children,” according to LookToTheStars.com.
In a press release from Getty Images, the photo agency reveals that all of Brangelina’s wedding pics were shot by photographer David James exclusively for People and the UK’s Hello magazine.
