Karrueche Tran stood by her man, Chris Brown, as he pled guilty to assault charges from an incident in October 2013. During the incident, the singer punched a man in the face and broke his nose. Yikes.
Chris Brown, 25, appeared in a Washington, D.C. courtroom to plead guilty to assault charges with his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, 26, by his side. During his appearance, Chris openly apologized to the courtroom and stated that he was trying to focus on reviving his career as an entertainer with some new music.
Chris Brown Pleads Guilty To Assault Charges, Keeps Karrueche Tran Nearby
What is more romantic than supporting your boyfriend during his court appearance?
That’s exactly what Karrueche did on Tuesday, Sept. 2, as Chris stood up in a courtroom and pleaded guilty to assaulting a man outside of his hotel in Oct. 2013.
“I would like to say to the court that I’m sorry,” Chris told the courtroom, reports ABC News. He did not speak to press on his way in or out of the hearing.
Chris was sentenced to time already served for the violent incident, which means he was able to walk out of the courtroom a free man. With Karrueche right by his side smiling happily, the couple left looking satisfied with the outcome of the hearing.
For those of you who are unaware, Chris spent approximately 130 days in prison starting in May 2014 for violating his probation when the incident occurred.
“To say that he’s been punished severely in this matter is an understatement,” Chris’ lawyer, Danny Onorato, argued during the hearing.
Now that this is behind him, hopefully Chris really can put his head back into his music and focus on making an epic comeback.
So what do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Chris have been able to leave without getting arrested again? Do you think he and Kae will last as a couple? Let us know your thoughts below!
