Chloë Moretz, 17, was sparkling on the red carpet with textured, beachy hair and a fresh understated makeup look. We’ve got the tips to recreate her textured waves from the stylist who did it — will you be trying this look for yourself?
Chloe Moretz’s MTV Video Music Awards Beauty
Chloë Moretz kept it classic with a voluminous textured hairstyle created by celeb stylist, Gregory Russell. First, Gregory applied Garnier Fructis Sky-Hi Volume Mousse to damp hair, focusing on the crown area to promote voluminous, shiny hair, once blown out.
Next, he blew out Chloe’s hair with a large ceramic round brush and pinned the crown to create more volume. To create the waves in her hair, Russell used a flat iron to give the hair a unique texture and body.
He sprayed the roots of the crown and slightly through the ends with Garnier Fructis De-Constructed Texture Tease Dry Touch Finish Spray for messy, effortless texture, followed by teasing the crown for long lasting volume.
Once the waves were in place, Gregory sprayed his hands with the Garnier Fructis De-Constructed Beach Chic Texturizing Spray and combed through the ends and face frame with his fingers to add more irregularity and definition.
Finally, he kept her looking look sleek all night with Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Hair Spray.
