Maroon 5 made their VMA performance debut during the Aug. 24 telecast, and they didn’t disappoint! Adam Levine and his bandmates practically stole the show when they sang ‘Maps.’ Do YOU agree?

With a huge M behind them, Adam Levine, 35, and his bandmates — James Valentine, Jesse Carmichael, Matt Flynn, Mickey Madden, PJ Morton, and Sam Farrar — rocked out on a stage outside The Forum, while they interacted with the audience.
It was a simple performance, but one of the best of the night!
Fans also loved the band’s VMA performance. See what they said on Twitter below:

Maroon 5: MTV Video Music Awards Performance Virgins
We’re shocked that this was Maroon 5’s first VMA performance ever, considering they’ve been releasing hit after hit since 2004. And strangely enough, they’ve only take home one moon man for Best New Artist in 2004.
We think after this hot performance, Maroon 5 will gain a bit more recognition. (We hope!)
Before the show, Adam teased about their performance during an interview with ET.
“I’m not going to tell you, listen, it’s the VMA’s,” Adam told Rocsi Diaz, when asked about whether or not Voice co-coach Gwen Stefani would join them on stage. “Would the VMA’s be special if Elton John was like, telling an interviewer I’m doing a song with Eminem? No. Because it was a surprise and it was badass.”
We can now say that Gwen did not appear on stage with them, but perhaps it’ll happen one day — or during season 7 of The Voice!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Did you love Maroon 5’s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards?
