The 2014 MTV VMAs were truly the night of Beyonce. Not only was she nominated for more awards than any other artists, but she stunned with the most amazing performance of the night and was awarded with the annual Video Vanguard Award…by Jay Z and Blue Ivy!
All eyes were on Beyonce at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards…and Jay Z who planted a kiss on her lips right up on stage! The superstar won the annual Video Vanguard Award, and celebrated her huge honor with an incredible performance and a cute moment with her adorable family!
Beyonce Wins Video Vanguard Award VMAs — Jay Z Kisses Her On Stage
Beyonce won the Video Vanguard Award at the 2014 VMAs, which HollywoodLife.com reported on August 7. The singer, 32, took the stage to accept her award, but also stunned the audience with an incredible medley performance, which was definitely one of the headlines of the show.
HollywoodLife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY that “she is performing her album, every song in a wrapped up 15 minute performance with other sprinkled surprises,” and it really happened! Beyonce performed all of her songs from her visual album, “Beyonce.” Of course, Queen Bey rocked it.
Even though her performance was out of this world, the best moment was when her rumored on-the-rocks hubby Jay Z presented the big honor to Beyonce, which has been awarded to Madonna, Britney Spears, Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson in the past.
Jay Z kissed Beyonce, as he presented the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award to his wife with their daughter Blue Ivy in his arms. Beyonce looks overwhelmed with joy and Jay Z looked like such a proud husband, despite those divorce rumors.
“I just thank God for this moment,” Beyonce said, telling the audience that she’s overcome with gratitude. She also told “Blue Blue” that she loves her, thanked her “beloved” (ahem, Jay Z) and also thanked her fans.
Beyonce Nominated For More VMAs Than Any Other Artist
Beyonce rocked the house with her sexy performance, but that’s not all that was impressive. The bonafide star killed it with her nominations throughout the night — Queen Bey was honored for Best Female Video and Best Choreography for her hit “Partition,” Video of the Year, which she lost out to Miley Cyrus, and Best Collaboration for “Drunk In Love” with her hubby Jay Z — they won! What better way to celebrate than with a kiss on the lips?
The 2014 VMAs marked Beyonce’s fourth time performing at the MTV award show.
Congrats, Bey, on your huge night! We loved watching you accept your award, and loved seeing your sweet family!
