So cool! Paul, who usually takes on comedic roles in movies, is now a bonafide superhero. The actor will play the Ant-Man, and we have a first look at Marvel’s new flick.
Paul Rudd, 45, is stepping into a whole new world as an action star with his role in Marvel’s Ant-Man. The new superhero movie will follow the life of Paul’s con-man character, Scott Lang, trying to find his heroic side in an effort to conceal the secret behind Dr. Pym’s (Michael Douglas) Ant-Man suit. The suit allows Paul’s character to shrink in size, but increase in strength.

When asked why Paul wanted to star in this movie, the actor said, “The way technology has advanced just in the last few years, picturing this world, what they can do with this kind of storyline and character, I thought this could be something that could be very strange and hasn’t been seen before. I was really excited about being a part of something like that.”
Now that we’ve seen the above photo, we can certainly see why Paul wanted to join this film. It looks so cool!
‘Ant-Man': The Movie That Almost Didn’t See The Light Of Day
For a fleeting moment, the fate of this film was uncertain as the movie’s original director, Edgar Wright, cast a shadow over the movie when he pulled out after he had creative differences with Marvel, says the Los Angeles Times.
Peyton Reed, who was previously credited with Bring It On and The Break-Up, was then hired to head Marvel’s upcoming superhero release.
The film also stars Bobby Cannavale, 44, Evangeline Lilly, 35, T.I., 33 and Michael Peña, 38.
Tell us, HollywoodLifers, will YOU see Ant-Man when it’s released on July 17, 2015?
