As they say, you only paradise once. But if you paradise like these people, once is enough. On the August 18 episode, two newcomers had their eye on the same guy, while the tensions in the house reached a breaking point (and overnight dates relieved some!).
It didn’t take long for the ladies to realize the prize of the house was Marquel! When two new ladies arrived, they both wanted him — but he only had that chemistry with one! Meanwhile, Elise and Chris and AshLee and Graham got the opportunity to spend the night together. Bachelor in Paradise was full of hook ups, heart breaks and of course, tears.
Marquel For Everyone
After the ladies and gents try to get over Elise‘s shocking speech from last week, they get introduced to Danielle Ronco from Juan Pablo‘s season — and she looks stunning! Her date card gives her a flight to Campeche, Mexico, so she chooses Marquel after meeting him for two minutes. She even said she came to paradise for him. Here we go. Unfortunately, that left Michelle Money heartbroken, and looking for Robert.
Midway through the episode, Jackie Parr from Sean Lowe‘s season enter the show this episode. She also chose Marquel for her date and they headed to Mexico, too. So now, Danielle was the heartbroken one over Marquel. Yes, this is basically The Bachelor for him, but why wouldn’t it be?
However it was clear Marquel had more chemistry with Jackie — they even kissed on the first date (OMG).
AshLee Talks Babies With Graham
The other two date cards went to Elise who brought the new love of her life, Chris, and AshLee who took Graham. It’s a good thing AshLee got the card because I think she was about to cry to a raccoon if not. She even talked about introducing him to her dad… and having babies. Granted, they hadn’t been on a date yet.
On their first date, she scared him by saying she followed his Instagram before coming on the show (then scared me by saying, “hashtag embarrassing”). However, he did tell her not to “put too much pressure on ‘forever.'”
So, when they’re given two room keys, she was all about spending the night together. However, he thought that would be inappropriate and decided they should sleep separately. I’m going to be honest, I was a little shocked she didn’t flip out.
Elise & Chris: We Found Love(?) In Paradise
We have to talk about Elise and Chris. Just to remind you, Elise was head over heels and seriously thinking Dylan was the one last week — until he rejected her rose and she gave it to Chris. That, in turn, proved to her (somehow) that he could “fight” for her. Yes, we’re confused to — but it gets better.
She finally got the date card and regardless of the fact that Chris somehow hurt his knee and couldn’t even walk, they jumped on a plane to Mexico for a romantic dinner where she did a lot of talking and he complained about it. Then, in true BiP fashion, they gave them a date card with room keys — so they could chose whether or not they wanted to share a room.
First they headed to the pool where she looked key in a green fully sequined bikini and naturally, he just wanted to go to the room — literally, he said “let’s just go.” Of course she did, after he told the cameras, “I want to enjoy her behind closed doors.” Ugh!
After that date, they went to the hospital to find out he had torn his ACL — but luckily, Elise loves to play caretaker. Even though Sarah called her out on how hard she had fallen in only TWO days, she didn’t care!
Rose Ceremony Sends 3 Home?
So at the rose ceremony, it was time for the men to give the ladies their roses. While most of them were predictable, since half the house is coupled off, some choices did shock us:
Zack gave his to Clare; Graham gave his to AshLee; and Marcus gave his to Lacy. Then came the most-wanted man of the night, Marquel, who chose Jackie. Then Robert gave his to Sarah, which I kind of loved. I’m all about Michelle, but Sarah kept Robert in the game last week — it’s only fair.
So, that left Chris, Elise, Danielle, and Michelle. However, when he called up Elise, he told her he couldn’t give her the rose — because he had to go home. His torn ACL was just too much. So, he asked her to come with him, and she said she’d love to. Meanwhile, everyone cracked up.
However, he still had to give out a rose. So, he said he thought Michelle seemed like someone who really wanted to find love, so he and Elise stood together and gave her the rose — it was actually pretty sweet. Total props to Michelle who cried and looked perfect, without her smokey eye running at all!
Unfortunately, that meant the end for Danielle, and Elise and Chris limped to a car together. Best line of the night: Danielle in the car saying, “This wasn’t paradise, this was Marq hell.”
So, HollywoodLifers — are you shocked that Elise went home with Chris? Do you think they’ll last? Should she have left? Let us know what your thoughts on the episode are!
