Robin Williams was found dead at his home on Aug. 11. His ‘Good Will Hunting’ co-star, Matt Damon, has released a heartfelt statement to HollywoodLife.com about his ‘beautiful’ friend.
Matt Damon, 43, wrote and co-starred in 1997’s Good Will Hunting alongside Robin Williams. The movie was Matt’s break into Hollywood. After Robin’s death from a reported suicide on Aug. 11, Matt has spoken out about the friend he will “never, ever forget.” Read his statement below.

Matt Damon only has amazing things to say about his Good Will Hunting co-star Robin. Matt, Robin and Ben Affleck, 41, won Academy Awards for the film. Matt and Ben won the Academy Award for Best Writing, while Robin (who played Matt’s therapist in the film), won for Best Supporting Actor. A representative for Matt Damon tells HollywoodLife.com the following on behalf of Matt:
“Robin brought so much joy into my life and I will carry that joy with me forever. He was such a beautiful man. I was lucky to know him and I will never, ever forget him. I truly hope the people in the media can find it within themselves to give his family some privacy during this horrible time.”
What a beautiful and moving tribute from Matt. It seems that Robin touched the life of every single person he met. Ben Affleck also released an emotional statement about Robin after his death.

Ben posted an emotional message on his Facebook about the man who helped him begin his career in Hollywood.
“Heartbroken. Thanks chief – for your friendship and for what you gave the world. Robin had a ton of love in him. He personally did so much for so many people. He made Matt and my dreams come true.What do you owe a guy who does that? Everything. May you find peace my friend. #RobinWilliams“
