‘America’s Got Talent’ live results show continued on August 13, and a total of seven acts were sent home! See who made it through to the semi-finals in our recap below!
Following what judge Howie Mandel, 58, described as ” the best night” America’s Got Talent has ever had, it was time to say farewell to seven amazing acts. Only five spots were available for contestants to move forward to the semi-finals round, and get one step closer towards the million dollar prize! Read below to see who made the cut!
‘America’s Got Talent’ Elimination — 7 Acts Say Goodbye
Starting off the night with a full recap of last night’s amazing show. We got an inside look behind the scenes of all of the judges raving about how each act had been better than the next, constantly raising the bar. Of course it was full of some hilarious moments as well, including Heidi Klum, 41, falling off her chair while in the middle of telling a story!
In a surprise guest appearance, Al Roker, 59, from NBC’s Today Show phoned in to chat with the judges and called Howard Stern, 60, the” king of social media” — quite the compliment! Meanwhile Howard was not so kind to his dear friend Al, ” you got to eat a sandwich, you are wasting away, it’s like someone put a pin in Al!”
Then it was time to get right down to it and see which acts would be making it through to the semi-finals
Sons Of Serendip, were the first act of the night to get sent through to the semi-finals. Last night they received rave reviews from every single judge after making them feel “soothed.”
Unfortunately, Cornell Bhagra, the group of dancers from Cornell University who took the stage for the first time last night after being sent through to the live rounds from the Today Show were sent home.
Dragon House “The Agents,” The Kieran & Finian Makepeace and Blue Journey were all called up next, with just one spot for the semi-finals. Although all three groups were amazing, Blue Journey made it through. All of the judges were not surprised by the decision, especially Mel B, 39, who voiced that she was rooting for the animation group to win the entire competition.
Anna Clendening and Paul Ieti were the next two acts called up to find out their fate. Both had not been in the judges top choices so it was a bit of a surprise, but both acts clearly have amazing voices and we can’t wait to see what Paul sings next.
More Shocking Eliminations
With just two spots left, Christian Stoinev and his dog Scooby were called up with comedian, Wendy Liebman. This was a tough call, seeing that the judges loved both competitors, but ultimately America went with the amazing acrobat and his loyal dog — congrats Christian!
Finally, it was all down to just the final spot, AcroArmy, Mike Super and Adrian Romoff. Unfortunately for the child prodigy, it was time to say goodbye to Adrian.
The last spot, came down to the judges. Heidi, Mel B and Howard all went with AcroArmy, securing them the final spot!
Congrats to all the performers who were sent through!
