In addition to being someone who I have personally considered a genius of comedy, my two favorite movies by Robin Williams are The Fisher King and What Dreams May Come. Both of these movies moved me deeply, as does his death. For someone who did not know him personally, I am very, very sad. I really loved being on the planet with him. I wish I could give his whole family a hug. My heart is torn for what they must be feeling right now :<

The Loss of Robin Williams will leave a huge void on planet Earth and in the hearts of millions of fans across the globe. Which of course includes me, I was so looking forward to the rolls he would have played. A huge fame such as he’s cant be easy to live with and I can understand how living in such a bright spotlight can put terrific strain on a person, The loss of this giant in the entertainment world will feed a river of tears that will run for many years to come, not least from his family and friends who must be totally devastated by there loss, my heart goes out to them and all the true fans of Robin Williams, God Bless you and keep you,,, rest in peace, a true star in heaven above…

I am very saddened that Robin Williams took his own life – particularly because he was suffering from depression and obviously felt that he no longer had any reason or wanted any reason to live. I remember laughing at him when he first hit the television in Mork & Mindy, because I am also 63. I know that life is a journey – we all try to do our best, and I am sure that Robin also tried to feel better, but he lost his battle. I know his spirit will move on, and his next incarnation will include many lessons he learned in this life, including how to prevent himself from ending his life. For right now though, I do believe that he is in peace – and I am grateful to the man who made me feel so much over so many years, who, at the very least, found that peace.

When I woke up today I woke up to my daughter crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said that robin Williams died (she lived his movies and night at the mesuem) and I shed a year at hearing that(I ran to a tv and turned it on and bought all his movies for her to watch) rip robin

If she’s 25, she was born in 89. She appears to be well over a year, maybe almost 2, in the picture. Therefore, the picture was not taken in the 80s. News sites: you’re supposed to trust them even when they can’t get the simplest facts correct.

My favorite movies are Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Will Hunting, Popeye and many others where Robin Williams made me laugh and emotional. For me Robin Williams is an icon of an actor. May his soul rest in peace.

As tragic as it may be that he decided to take his own life, I think the author of this article is mistaken because if his children meant that much to him he never would have considered suicide.

It’s very unfortunate that you are so UNEDUCATED about depression and suicide. Mental illness is just like any other disease that has the ability, just like cancer, diabetes, heart attack to attack our brain, body and emotions. People that suffer from severe depression are in so much mental anquish that they are clearly not thinking with their “healthy” mindset. I would encourage you to spend some time working on a mental health ward, or with people who suffer daily from this horrific deadly disease. Shame on you for judging, and I pray that you never have this happen to someone close to you. This should show you that this illness is so severe that even those you love dearly are left to mourn, and question what they could have done. I pray for his family and especially his children who will have to live the rest of their lives reading or hearing negative stuff about someone they loved so much , because of people who lack compassion for others.

You’re severely uneducated about suicidal people. Congratulations on giving an opinion on something you’re not educated in, you’ve just become another Internet idiot.

I wish to let the family know I am saddened about there loss. My father passed away on my birthday last year which was July 19th. He looked like Robin Wilkiams. Hence why Robin became my idle. I was also my fathers baby girl. I am deeply saddened at this loss. Robin was a father in my eyes even if I only got to know him from films and interviews on TV. I will hold a candle vigolance in Robin Williams behalf here in Biloxi Mississippi. This loss has struck many across the nation. From his start in Mork and Mindy to all the movies, comedy shows, voice over cartoons, and interviews that made us laugh, cry, and have a better understanding of our own lives. We send the family our deapest and greatest sympathy. Always remember the good times and never forget who he was and what he has done for so many. I also extend my email address in behalf of the family if any of them need someone to speak to away from media eyes. God bless and let the love of his life lift him to heaven.
