Lots of drama went down on the Aug. 10 episode of ‘True Blood.’ Did Bill just make the worst decision ever? (Yep, he sure did.)
True Blood is winding down and it’s ready to throw shocker after shocker in the final three episodes. On the Aug. 10 episode, Lettie Mae (Adina Porter) finally found peace with Tara (Rutina Wesley), Hoyt (Jim Parrack) and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) re-met and Bill (Stephen Moyer) made a devastating revelation! Full recap below!
‘True Blood’ Recap: The Princess Of Peace & Suffering
Crazy Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp) was still having visions of Grim Reaper Jason (Ryan Kwanten), who was promising that her death was imminent. Sarah walked outside to meet her own true death. Upon seeing her, Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) was ready to strangle Sarah. Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) screamed for Eric to let her go. Pam meant business, too. She threatened to pull the trigger on a bullet to her heart if Eric didn’t.
Sarah called herself the Princess of Peace, which is best name I’ve ever heard. Eric didn’t kill her, but he decided to take a nasty bite into her neck. Suddenly, Eric was healed!
Rest assured, everyone. Eric Northman will live to fight another day!
Meanwhile, Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Bill were reminiscing after their passionate reunion. They started talking about Sophie Ann and matters of the heart. Bill even said that the first time he saw Sookie, it was as if he was human again. However, Bill felt major guilt over the darkness in his life. Sookie didn’t let Bill’s guilt talk hinder their reconciliation.
Lettie Mae and Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) were stilling feeling some type of way from Tara. They were digging up somebody’s front yard. Lettie Mae was adamant there was something there that Tara wanted her to see. Lafayette, Lettie Mae and Reverend Daniels (Gregg Daniels) all took another sip of blood from James (Nathan Parsons) to see Tara again.
Flashback to young Tara and Lafayette. Little Sookie was there for Tara’s birthday! However, Tara’s father wasn’t in a joyous mood. But more on that later.
Over at the Fortenberry house, Bridget and Jason were looking through Hoyt’s old pictures. As she flipped through the pages, Bridget dropped the “I want kids” bomb and Hoyt freaked out. Turns out, Hoyt didn’t really want to be a dad.
Jason got a text from Violet of Adilyn and Jessica all tied up. Jason bolted from Hoyt’s, but Bridget followed. Bridget was angry with Hoyt about his shocking revelation and she left with Jason.
‘True Blood’ Recap: House Of Pain
Now that he had Sarah, Mr. Gus Jr. was ready to synthesize Sarah’s blood as New Blood. However, he didn’t want to give away the cure. He wanted to make New Blood a healthy habit.
Jason finally made it to Violet’s house and the music playing should have made him instantly call for backup. Violet was the ultimate woman scorned and she was NOT happy with Jason.
She had bound and gagged Adilyn (Bailey Noble), Wade, Jason and Jessica. She threatened to chop Wade’s fingers off and then rip Adilyn’s breast off. Yes, really. I won’t say what she had planned for Jessica. Just know it was brutal.
“All I ever wanted from you Jason was to live in the world with no wit,” she yelled. “No intellect. A world where you worship me for the perfect creature that I am!”
Violet didn’t stay perfect for long. Hoyt brought out the big guns and shot Violet, reducing her to a pile of goo.
After Hoyt’s heroic moment, Jessica was able to see Hoyt for the first time in years! There was that whole time stood still part, but it was interrupted when Bridget came running in. However, Hoyt couldn’t keep his eyes off Jessica.
Back to Tara flashback, Little Tara pulled out the gun her father was searching for and and nearly pulled the trigger on him. At the last minute she decided to bury the gun and watch her father leave Lettie Mae.
In the present day, the Reverend pulled out the gun from the ground.
“I’m sorry I didn’t pull that trigger,” Tara said to Lettie Mae. “I should have pulled it long before that day.”
“I was your mama,” Lettie Mae replied. “You weren’t supposed to save me.”
Tara pleaded with her mother to forgive herself. Lettie Mae promised and then Tara disappeared. Goodbye, Tara! (**Sheds tear.**)
‘True Blood’ Recap: Nice To Meet You, Again
While Andy was thanking Hoyt for saving Adilyn, Jess was still watching him. They went into another room and Jessica personally thanked him for saving her.
They re-introduced themselves to each other and it was just adorable. (I forgot how cute they were.)
Meanwhile, Bridget comforted Jason, but she was a witness to Hoyt and Jessica’s little convo. She wanted to know who Jessica was, but Jason didn’t have the heart to reveal the entire story.
Later, Jason drove Jessica home. They started talking about their relationship. Jessica confessed that she never felt betrayed by Jason, no matter what he did. She even said their relationship was one of the least complicated in her life. They both decided that they would maintain their “beautiful friendship.” (Yes, please.)
Sookie watched Bill have a nightmare as he slept. Her night watch was interrupted when she got a knock at the door. It was Eric!
“I came looking for you because I wanted to let you know I was going to be okay,” Eric said. (Swoon.) Sookie had to ruin the moment by revealing that Bill was sick. Eric was NOT happy about this new revelation. He promised he would return the next day, but that wasn’t good enough for Sookie.
The stubborn faerie went to Fangtasia to find Eric, but she found Mr. Gus Jr. and his associates there, too. Eric told Mr. Gus that Sookie was just a conquest who knew nothing about Sarah and New Blood. Eric persuaded Mr. Gus to allow him to glamour Sookie. (LOL.) However, even Mr. Gus knew something was up with Eric’s plan.
Hoyt couldn’t get Jessica off his mind and headed to Bill’s house. He just wanted to talk and Jessica was more than happy to oblige. He even brought over his own blood for Jessica and Bill to use, which was so sweet. They nearly kissed! (Hoyt and Jessica shippers, rejoice!)
‘True Blood’ Recap: No Means No?
As expected, Sookie didn’t listen to Eric’s demand to stay away from Fangtasia. She returned and found Sarah, who was the last person she expected to see.
Sarah pleaded with Sookie to help her escape. Sookie read her thoughts and realized she was the cure. “Even as the cure, you’re still the f**king problem.” (Amen to that!)
Sookie ran to Jessica to tell her about the cure. There was finally hope for Bill! However, Bill had a flash forward to Sookie with a baby, except it wasn’t a baby. Sookie was just holding a black mass. Weird.
Mr. Gus Jr. headed to Dallas for the night and told Eric NOT to do anything stupid. (Oh, Eric.) Sookie brought Bill to Fangtasia to receive the cure from Sarah.
But there was just one problem.
Bill said no! “I don’t want the blood,” he confessed. WHAT?!
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of tonight’s True Blood? Can you believe Bill refused the cure? Are you glad Violet is gone? (We are.) Did you tear up when Tara finally found peace? Let us know!
