Noel Kahn entered official creep territory on ‘Pretty Little Liars’ August 5 episode and has some serious ammo on Alison who comes face-to-face with her ‘kidnapper’! Read on for your full Rosewood recap!
The Pretty Little Liars aren’t getting along with each other, and as you all know, there’s no room for girl trouble amidst the life-threatening trouble in Rosewood. Alas, Hanna (Ashley Benson) is still a drunk, Ali (Sasha Pieterse) is a downright looney-toon, but on the good friendship spectrum, Sydney (Chloe Bridges) reveals that she’s really good friends with Jenna (Tammin Sursok) — and no, that’s probably not a good thing.
Noel & Ali’s Creepy Pact
In case you missed it, Ali enlisted Noel Kahn (Brant Daughtery) to break into Hanna’s home, in order to get Ms. Marin (Laura Leighton) to believe that she’s in danger. On this fine night in Rosewood, Emily creeps across Noel lurking in his car listening to a disturbing recording of Ali’s voice. He’s onto something, and he knows that someone is onto him.
Speaking about lurking, Emily (Shay Mitchell) is ready to full-on stalk Noel to get to the bottom of Ali’s madness. She steals his car keys from his gym locker — PS: Noel drives a Benz, as if he couldn’t get any hotter — and let’s not forget to point out, she stole the code to his locker to get those keys and then breaks into his car to find very alarming pics of Ali pre-death. Breach of privacy, Em! (Who am I kidding?)
Why Can’t The Liars Just Get Along?
At this point, the liars are full-on avoiding each other at school. And it’s not much better on the home front. Hanna’s drinking isn’t getting more serious (her mom witnessed a flask fall out of her bag, dear God!), and Alison’s little Noel stunt really freaked out the girls.
Hanna and Ali get into a huge blowout fight and she asks her to move out, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) goes after Caleb for Hanna’s drinking problem — “she’s a loose canon and you’re giving her gunpowder!” — and even Jenna turns against Ali. Oh yeah, apparently when Shana was alive, she hated Ali, too. Poor girl. Maybe she was better off dead.
In better news, Emily got the assistant coach gig.
Dilated Eyes Are So In These Days
Noel isn’t the only suspicious genetically-blessed teenager in Rosewood. Spencer spots Jenna with “another Jenna,” while she’s at the eye doctor, but her eyes are too dilated and fuzzy to realize that it was Sydney! Thankfully, Emily — who’s also sporting some unfortunate sunglasses — spots Syd and calls her out for hangin’ with the creepiest person in Rosewood. (That would be Jenna.)
If you’ve ever watched PLL before, you know that good things never happen in doctors’ offices and this time was no exception — Spencer spelled out “Can U C Me Yet – A” on the alphabet chart. Ugh, aren’t those stingy eyedrops the worst?!?!
After that awkward run-in, Sydney tells everything to Emily. She’s been friends with Jenna for a long time and came back to her side when she was in a time of need (aka, hating on Alison). Sydney admits that she didn’t expect to actually like Emily, but she does! Too late — Emily is so over her and plans to ruin her pretty little life, as her swim coach. Yep, she wants her to drown in her sorrows. Ouch.
Side note: Jenna and Sydney really should have swapped for some new eyewear, while they were at the doc’s office. Those sunglasses have got to go.
Caleb, You Are Perfect (For Hanna)
Over a beer (duh), Caleb pulls the truth out of Hanna about Zach — you know, Aria’s mother’s (Holly Marie Combs) future husband. She comes clean about him hitting on her and instead of making her ruminate on older men (what’s up Ezra?!) he makes her watch a chick flick, while picking her up dinner…err, going to punch Zach at his own party. Best. Boyfriend. Ever.
Aria’s mom figures out the Zach is not the best boyfriend ever and reveals to Aria (Lucy Hale) that she’s sadly not surprised that he came onto Hanna. They’re dunzo. Poor Ms. Montgomery!
The Truth Comes Out About A Pretty Little Liar — Well, Kinda
Spencer is snooping around just when she comes across Noel hiding under a sheet! (I spy with my little eye!) He threatens her to get the photos of Ali back because they’re proof she was never kidnapped, but assures Spencer that he’s not blackmailing Ali — he just needs the insurance, incase she turns on him.
So if Noel is telling the truth, literally everyone thinks Ali is crazy. But what does Ali have on Noel? Why is he protecting her? The full truth hasn’t come out yet, but Spencer stabbed his hand so there’s that.
To wrap things up, Hanna’s mom takes Ali to the police station where they’re questioning her alleged kidnapper — but you know, she wasn’t kidnapped. So who is this guy and why does he tell such a good lie? Well, he works for “A.”
HollywoodLifers, who’s creepier — the new guy or Noel? Are you happy that Hanna and Caleb are back on track? Were you surprised by Emily’s confrontation with Sydney? Sound off below!
