Bill Murray, 63, has just been cast as the lovable Baloo the Bear in the upcoming film adaptation of The Jungle Book! The veteran actor and comedian will join a long list of A-list stars for the 2015 remake of the 1967 animated Disney classic.

A film can’t go wrong when they cast esteemed actor, Bill Murray. The Saturday Night Live alum and Ghostbusters star is adding a beloved role to his resume.
The 63-year-old will play Baloo, the delightful friend and mentor to Mowgli, in the live-action/animated adaptation.
For those of you who don’t know the story, The Jungle Book follows little Mowgli as he is raised in the jungle with the help Baloo, Bagheera, a panther, and other animals. The film is based on a collection of stories written by Rudyard Kipling in 1894.
The Jungle Book is set to be released Oct. 9, 2015. We’re practically counting down the days! Excuse us while we play “Bare Necessities” on repeat.
