‘The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water': Trailer Released

The trailer opens with SpongeBob and his group of underwater friends in their traditional 2D form before they venture onshore, turning into 3D characters and superheros.

The storyline for the movie is simple: SpongeBob and the gang take on a group of pirates — one of the pirates is voiced by Antonio Banderas — who try to find the last page of a magical book to make their evil plan come true.

From Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water is a mix of live-action and animation, with the group of sea creatures interacting with humans. The cast is all back: Tom Kenny as SpongeBob (and Gary the Snail), Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick, Rodger Bumpass as Squidward and Clancy Brown as Mr. Krabs.
