Two of ‘Teen Wolf’s’ most diabolical characters joined forces for power on the July 28 episode. Plus, who died?! P.S. More than one met their end.
We need a minute to breathe after the July 28 episode of Teen Wolf. Scott (Tyler Posey) vowed to save his friends and family, Peter (Ian Bohen) and Kate (Jill Wagner) teamed up, Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) comforted Lydia (Holland Roden) during a difficult time and three characters said goodbye — for good. Full recap from Beacon Hills is right here!
‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: Little Orphan Violet & Garrett
Kate was lurking around, which meant the fierce and slightly evil Argent had something up here sleeve. She came across a tape that said, “play me,” so naturally, she played it.
When Kate descended upon her bloody victims, who revealed that they’d received a mix tape before. The guy confessed that a set of orphans made him the tape, which could only mean…Garret (Mason Dye) and Violet (Samantha Logan)!
Violet was brought into custody by Deputy Parrish (Ryan Kelley) and Sheriff Stilinki (Linden Ashby) and Agent McCall (Matthew Del Negro) tried to figure out how she got her hands on such a dangerous weapon. Violet gave Scott the major side-eye as she was escorted away, which could only mean she had something planned.
The teen assassin denied, denied, denied having anything to do with the murders. But she had that crazy thermo-cut wire!
That’s when Agent McCall hit Violet’s weak point. He used her orphan status as a way to fire her up.
“That’s right, you don’t have any parents. That’s why they call you the orphans.” (Mega ouch.)
Meanwhile, Stiles and Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) tried to save Brett (Cody Saintgnue) from Garrett’s deadly wolfsbane. He flipped and tried to escape, but was knocked to the ground by Peter.
“I guess I still have a little werewolf strength myself,” Peter quipped. Don’t be so smug.
When Dr. Deaton (Seth Gilliam) began cutting into Brett’s chest, a yellowy smoke came out. (Gross.) Brett kept repeating, “the sun, the moon, the truth.” The gang all realized it was Buddhist and neither the sun, moon or truth can ever truly be hidden.
‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: Kill Werewolves, Get Money
Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) and Scott bonded by trying to figure out what was up with Garrett. As Scott went through Garrett’s locker, he found wads of COLD HARD CASH! This had special significance because Mama McCall (Melissa Ponzio) was three months late on power bill. (Sigh.)
As Liam and Mason (Khylin Rhambo) went for a jog to talk about Garrett, Baby Beta got a little too preoccupied and sped up way ahead.
Suddenly, Liam got pounded by an SUV driven by Mr. Jawline aka Garrett! No, Garrett. Don’t go there.
Garrett apologized for missing movie night (he is not forgiven), but had something a little more dangerous planned. He stabbed Liam with his lacrosse stick of death and put him in a deep, deep well!
Lydia, Stiles and Scott didn’t bother to show up to class because who needs school anyway? While Malia (Shelley Hennig) sat in her seat, she heard a voice that led her out to Derek! He wanted to find Brett’s pack and needed Malia’s help to do so.
Lydia and Stiles were busy at the police station handing over the dead pool list to Deputy Parrish. He realized his name was on it and he was worth $5 million! (I’d pay it. For him.)
Once he discovered Baby Beta was missing, Scott went searching for Liam. Garrett called on Liam’s cell and said that he wanted his money back and Violet or else Liam met his end. All Scott need to do was attack the car that was moving Violet. “If you can’t stop one little car, then one little beta is going to die.” (Not Baby Beta!)
‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: The Dark Wolf Rises
Lydia, Stiles and Parrish headed to Eichen House to talk to Meredith (Maya Eshet) about the third cipher key. When one of the workers teased Stiles about his medical bill, Parrish showed him who was boss. Thus, the Parrish and Stiles bromance was born.
“I like you,” Stiles said to Parrish. “I’m going to keep you.”
The trio tried to get Meredith to spill the beans on the third key, but the Benefactor was threatening her to keep quiet. Lydia kept budging, causing Meredith to freak out. She screamed that she didn’t know and Lydia’s ears started to bleed. Stiles comforted her and his thumb definitely grazed her lip, but that’s not important. (Yes it is, Stydia fans.)
Scott and Garrett followed the car holding Violet only to come upon it crashed and Sheriff Stilinski and Agent McCall were hurt! Plus, Violet was gone!
Garrett didn’t care much for Scott’s current predicament and was ready to attack with his crazy ninja skills. However, the Berserkers showed up and stabbed Garrett right through the heart! (RIP Garrett. At least they didn’t stab his face.)
The Berserkers also stabbed Scott and Dr. Deaton and Chris had to pull the nasty thing out from his side. Scott revealed that it was Kate and the Berserkers doing all the damage, and they had Violet, who would lead to Liam.
Malia and Derek searched high and low for Brett’s pack. However, a nifty clue about Buddhists changed their course. The trail led to an entire pack dead due to poisoning. Yet, one was still holding on. It was Braeden!
Liam tried his mighty hardest to get out of the well. He was thisclose, but fell a long way back down. He got frustrated and punched the wall, but remembered Scott’s advice and didn’t give up.
Meanwhile, Scott and Chris decided to take on Kate, along with the Berserkers. Kate agreed to settle, but Chris wasn’t having it. He started shooting and Kate subsequently attacked.
Scott fought the Berserkers, but they weren’t holding back. They threw him through multiple walls! In one room, Scott spotted a very dead Violet. (RIP Violet.) Before the Berserkers could kill Chris, Kate signaled to stop!
Liam pulled a Dark Knight Rises, only this time it was Dark Wolf Rises. He climbed out of that well and howled a howl we’d never heard before. Scott ran to his side and assured him that everything would be OK.
‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: Mutually Assured Destruction
Stiles and Lydia continued to obsess over the final key. They had thought of every other dead person they could think of, but none worked. Stiles realized that Banshees predict death, so maybe the final key is someone who’s not dead yet, but will be soon.
Lydia let her mind do the work and she typed D-E-R-E-K. (Teen Wolf fans everywhere just dropped their remote.) Liam and Malia were now on the list as well. Then, Lydia got the news that Meredith hanged herself at Eichen.
Stiles comforted Lydia in her time of need and Stydia fans went bonkers. There were many instances of longing glances between these two during the episode, so don’t try and deny it.
Back over at Dr. Deaton’s, Scott was saving Baby Beta. He declared that he was 100% done with watching people die. He vowed that no one else was going to have to say goodbye. “We’re going to save everyone,” he said.
Scott might end up saving his mom from debt after he counts up all that cash still in his room!
After her fight with Scott and Chris, Peter found Kate in the sewer. Peter knew her rage was getting worse and she was losing control. However, they did have one thing in common: They wanted mutually assured destruction.
“I can offer control,” Peter said. “I can teach you.”
Peter wanted his money back, but Kate didn’t think that was all he wanted. Peter teased Kate to the furthest extent and it was pretty sexy. “Money only gets you so far,” Peter replied. “What I want is what I’ve always wanted…POWER!”
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of tonight’s Teen Wolf? What do Kate and Peter have planned? Where was Kira? Did y’all check out the Stiles and Lydia action? Are you glad that Liam is finally finding his strength as a werewolf? WHO IS THE BENEFACTOR?! Let us know!
