The royal recycler is at it again! Kate looked beautiful in blue — but if you think the frock looks familiar, that’s because she has rocked it not once but twice before! You know what they say…third time’s a charm!
Kate Middleton looked beautiful in blue as she stepped out at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on July 29, 2014. The Duchess of Cambridge looked pretty perfect, (per usual)! Not a hair was out of place as she stepped out in a vibrant blue frock. While the colorful Stella McCartney number commanded our attention, (and probably turned heads of a few of the soldiers in attendance!), it was the third time we’ve seen Kate in this great dress — and the last time she wore it was two years ago!
Kate Middleton — Commonwealth Games Dress:
Kate attended the games for the second day in a row, and was accompanied by Prince William and her brother-in-law, Prince Harry. Kate opted for the comfortable blue dress as she arrived at Hampden Park. The stylish royal rocked the crepe shift dress with a navy blue blazer that featured gold buttons as she tied the whole outfit together with her go-to pair of shoes — her navy cork L.K. Bennett wedges!
While Kate looked lovely in the outfit, she looked just as good when she debuted it in 2012 for a private viewing at the National Portrait Gallery on July 19. The Duchess paired the dress with a long, silver necklace, giving the dress a more contemporary feel than we’re used to seeing from her.
The dress instantly sold out on the designer’s website after Kate made her debut in the dress, but Kate was quick to recycle the frock mere months later on August 12, 2012, as she cheered on professional tennis player Andy Murray during the Olympic games. This was the first time we saw her layer the look as she sported her smart black Smythe blazer over the ensemble.
We love how practical and down-to-earth the Duchess is, and we can’t get enough of her recycling her looks! Do you agree? WHich look did you like better on Kate?
