Congratulations, Shailene and Ansel! The two ‘Fault In Our Stars’ actors took home the award for ‘Best On-Screen Couple’ at the Young Hollywood Awards on July 27.
The romance and chemistry between Shailene Woodley, 22, and her Fault In Our Stars co-star Ansel Elgort, 20, was undeniable on-screen and voters agreed! The two actors, who may or may not be this generation’s Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, won the award for “Best On-Screen Couple” at the Young Hollywood Awards on July 27. With Shailene in San Diego for Comic Con, Ansel happily accepted the award at The Wiltern Theater!
Shailene Woodley & Ansel Elgort Win ‘Best On-Screen Couple’ Award
Shailene and Ansel beat out four other nominees, including Chris Colfer and Darren Criss for Glee, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons for The Big Bang Theory, and Shailene (again!) with Theo James for Divergent.
Shailene and Ansel certainly had some steep competition, but we think the right winners prevailed!
Shailene, who played Hazel Grace Lancaster, and Ansel, who played Augustus Waters, in Fault In Our Stars, helped tell a love story that easily makes you believe in everlasting love! HollywoodLife.com’s Emily Longeretta called the flick “a love story you’ll never forget.”
“Their love story is extremely precious — more than I’ve seen in a long time,” she said in a review of the movie. “Their love story is true and realistic. He’s a straightforward boy and she calls him out on his seemingly cocky comments.”
We’re so happy the actors are being rewarded for their hard work! And not just them — the movie itself was a big winner of the night as well!
‘The Fault In Our Stars’ Racks Up Multiple Young Hollywood Awards
The Fault In Our Stars picked up multiple awards at the Young Hollywood Awards. On top of taking home the “Best On-Screen Couple” award, the film also won “Favorite Flick” and Ansel took home the “Fan Favorite Actor” award as well. (So cool!)
Be sure to tune in to the Young Hollywood Awards on Monday, July 28 at 8/7c on The CW to see all the action go down!
