Dylan O’Brien is making moves in Hollywood, so it’s no surprise that he won the Breakthrough Actor award at the Young Hollywood Awards on July 27. Congrats to Dylan!

Teen Wolf and The Internship star Dylan O’Brien, 22, is taking Hollywood by storm. The actor, best known for his role as the adorably quirky Stiles on the hit MTV show, is making a huge transition from TV to film, and it’s paying off. Dylan accepted the award at The Wiltern Theater and beat out many major stars!

Dylan O’Brien Wins Breakthrough Actor Award At Young Hollywood Awards

Dylan is the next big thing in Hollywood, that’s for sure. After a wildly successful few days in San Diego for Comic-Con to promote Teen Wolf and his next film, The Maze Runner, Dylan headed straight to Los Angeles to pick up a new award!

The 22-year-old beat out Sam Claflin, 28, Ansel Elgort, 20, Miles Teller, 27, and Nat Wolff, 19, for Breakthrough Actor at the 2014 Young Hollywood Awards.

In the past year, Dylan has shown that he not only has the comedic chops, but dramatic ones as well. Season three of Teen Wolf featured Stiles being possessed by a nogitsune and Dylan had to play a truly diabolical character. His turn as dark Stiles astounded audiences and gave fans even more reason to love him.

Dylan also made a huge impact on the big screen in 2013’s The Internship. Alongside comedy pros, Owen Wilson, 45, and Vince Vaughn, 44, Dylan proved he could still bring the laughs.

Dylan O’Brien Takes The Lead In ‘The Maze Runner’

Dylan’s upcoming flick, The Maze Runner, is sprinting into theaters Sept. 19. Dylan takes on the lead role of Thomas, who finds himself trapped in a maze and desperate to escape.

While mostly noted for being Tyler Posey’s, 22, sidekick on Teen Wolf, Dylan is taking charge in his latest film, which will join the ranks of The Hunger Games and Divergent in terms of teen dystopian flicks. We can’t wait!

We’re so excited for the Young Hollywood Awards! Stay tuned for all of our coverage, including an exclusive interview with Dylan! The show airs Monday, July 28 at 8/7c on The CW!

HollywoodLifers, were you rooting for Dylan to win Breakthrough Actor? Were you rooting for someone else? Are you excited for The Maze Runner? Let us know!

Well deserved indeed. His natural charisma on screen is honestly the reason I (and probably a lot of people) am still watching Teen Wolf. Don’t get me wrong, Teen Wolf is a good show, but Dylan, at this point, is a phenomenon. He’s blown up so much in such a short period of time. He’s so good that he is basically single-handedly carrying the show now. He has an obvious gift for dramatic and comedic acting that doesn’t just come around everyday. I have *never* been this excited to follow someone’s career. Dylan O’Brien has Golden Globes and Oscars in his future. Mark my words.
