‘The Walking Dead': Rick & Daryl Take On Cannibals In Intense New Trailer

Brace yourselves. A brand-new trailer for ‘The Walking Dead’ just premiered at Comic-Con, and as expected — it’s intense. Will Rick, Daryl, & the rest of their crew escape Terminus? The answer is in the trailer!

Andrew Lincoln, 40, Steven Yeun, 30, and Lauren Cohan, 32, among many other cast members, were on hand at The Walking Dead panel during the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con to debut previously unseen footage and a brand-new trailer for the show’s fifth season. Not only did they promise an action-packed season five that would answer a lot of questions, but the new three-minute-long trailer provides many more details about where our favorite group of survivors are headed.

‘The Walking Dead’ Trailer: Comic-Con Panel Premieres New Footage

At the start of July 25’s The Walking Dead panel, Chris Hardwicke took the stage and told the very excited audience that he recently visited the set, and the new season is the “most intense” it’s ever been.

It was also revealed that we’ll finally get answers — like why were Rick & Co. put into a train car as prisoners at the end of season four? But here’s what we really care about: the footage. What did the footage show? Was it a real trailer? DID ANYONE DIE?

Okay, okay, here’s what HollywoodLife.com knows, based on the new trailer (yes, trailer) that premiered at SDCC: Cannibals are a thing, and yes, they are at Terminus. Rick reunites with his daughter, Judith, (thanks Carol & Tyrese!) finally, and — believe it or not — they ESCAPE TERMINUS.

In fact, it seems like season five’s action is going to be based primarily while they are on the run — they being Rick, Daryl, and the rest of the crew. Where are they headed, you ask? Well, the answer lies in the trailer above.

Oh, and in case you are concerned about Beth… stay tuned to the very END of the trailer. You’ll find what you’re looking for there.

However, I do have to say, it’s clear that EVERYONE is in danger during season five. If they are traveling by foot for as long as they intend to, there is just no way everyone we love is going to make it past all of those walkers — and other survivors — they encounter.

Who Is Going To Die During Season 5?

Ever since the fourth season ended with the entire gang locked up in an old train car, speculation has been running rampant among fans about a major death in season five.

While Rick, Glenn, Maggie, Carl, Michonne, and others were trapped by the alleged cannibalistic bullies at Terminus, Beth was still missing, and who knows if she’s even going to make it back for the series in fall 2014.

However, the show’s creator, Robert Kirkman, has already teased viewers by stating that main characters WILL die in season five. Characters. Plural. As in, more than one. Are you following me? Are you on my level of stressed out? Good, at least we have each other.

Thankfully, Robert has also revealed that the season premiere of season five will answer a lot of questions about Terminus. Everyone seems to have their own theories — personally, I’m still voting cannibals — so it will be nice to put the rumors to rest and find out the truth.

But, he has also previously stated that a show favorite may be biting the dust. Who did he say it was? Well… WARNING: CLICK HERE FOR SPOILERS.

So what do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? What are your thoughts on the new footage from season five? Who do you think is going to get killed off? Sound off in the comments below!

Why does the old hag Carol get the “thanks” for Judith being reunited with Rick? Correct if I’m wrong, but it was Tyreese who saved judith not Carol
