The new season of ‘Teen Mom 2′ is heating up quick. While Leah was forced to get a part-time job to help with Ali’s increasing medical bills, Kailyn struggles to build a relationship with Isaac’s father, Jo, and his new girlfriend, Vee.
On the July 23 episode of Teen Mom 2, there is a common theme among the moms: once they solved a problem, they found themselves with another one almost instantly. For instance, Chelsea Houska lost her job because she was still fighting the Department of Labor for her esthetics license. Leah Messer had to get a job to help with her daughter Ali‘s medical bills — but then found out that their health insurance company refused to cover the little girl’s wheelchair. In other news, a very pregnant Jenelle Evans gets into a huge argument with her boyfriend, Nathan Griffith, while Kailyn Lowry has to deal with Isaac’s father being a no-show to the boy’s 4th birthday party.
‘Teen Mom 2′: Leah Gets Second Job To Cover Ali’s Medical Expenses
Leah’s daughter, Ali, still does not have her wheelchair and she is forced to stay home from school because her legs hurt. Leah’s grandmother, Sandy, came to Leah’s house to watch the kids while Leah went to work. While Leah is normally a stay-at-home mom with her three girls, she had to get a job because her and her ex, Corey Simms, needed extra money to cover Ali’s medical expenses.
As usual, Leah was a trooper about the job and told her grandmother that she “loves” what she does. Sandy asked Leah how she was able to juggle the kids as well as her new job, and Leah responded that she honestly did not know.
When it was time for Leah to drop the kids off with Corey, he said that he got a letter from the insurance company — and it was bad news. The letter said that Ali’s medical necessity — her wheelchair — could not be established and that they needed “additional” medical paperwork. This meant little Ali would have to wait even longer before having the wheelchair she desperately needs to function.
Later, Leah went to her cousin’s house to discuss her conversation with Corey. She told her cousin, Chastity that she would do whatever it took for Ali to get her wheelchair, including pay $20,000 out-of-pocket if she needed to. Leah felt like Corey was not pushing the insurance company to speed up the process. She even mentioned that she was emotionally distraught and wanted to go to her doctor.
‘Teen Mom 2′: Jo Does Not Show Up To Isaac’s Birthday
Meanwhile, Javi Marroquin told Kailyn Lowry that he was going to go to Texas for a month. Kailyn said that his upcoming trip would be a test of their marriage. In addition, Kailyn also told Javi that it was hard to hear that he thought she did not reciprocate his love, but that this was a conversation that they needed to have. Kailyn admitted that she needed to work on expressing her feelings instead of holding them in until she exploded.
Kailyn called Jo Rivera and invited him and Vee Torres to Isaac’s birthday party. During the phone conversation, Kailyn told Jo that she did not want to fight with him and would rather be civil. Later, Jo told Vee that they were invited to Isaac’s party, however, Vee worried that if she went to the party all eyes would be on her. Jo thought it was weird that Kailyn invited them in the first place and he did not mind missing the party.
At the party, Kailyn talked with her friends and said that she wished Jo and Vee came. Jo had a party, but that she was not invited to it. Kailyn wished that she was because she wanted to see where her son was living. Isaac woke up from a nap — during his own party — and did not want any of his presents.
‘Teen Mom 2′: Chelsea Loses Her Job
Chelsea broke the news to her boss that she did not get her license and called her dad, Randy to discuss what her boss told her. She said that the commission came in and reevaluated her boss’ business and some of the things Chelsea did before were not regulated and now they were which meant that she could not work.
Later that day, Chelsea went out to eat with her friend, Chelsey Grace and told her that she was worried about not having a job because she just bought a new house. Chelsea asked Chelsey if she would want to move in and she said that she would.
The next day, Chelsea received a letter from the Department of Labor. Frustrated, Chelsea told her father that they had more questions because Landon posted on Twitter that he could not wait for the future and them working together. Chelsea suggested that she talk to a lawyer.
‘Teen Mom 2′: Jenelle Confronts Nathan About His Drinking
Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith‘s lawyer called because she had some bad news: Nathan would have to do the plea deal very soon and that he would be taken into custody and serve out his 30 day sentence immediately. The lawyer also asked Nathan if he had been driving because people in town claimed that he had. Nathan was upset that his sentence was moved up further and that he worried about Jenelle.
The following day, Jenelle went to Barbara’s house and told her the good news: her charges were dropped. She also told Barbara that Nathan had to go to jail for 30 days. In response, Barbara was concerned with Nathan had hoped that he realizes that he needs to change.
Nathan was out day drinking and Jenelle drove him home. When they got home, Jenelle asked Nathan how he felt about his sentence. He said that he was glad that he would be getting it over with. Then, Jenelle mentioned that he drank a lot and he said that if wanted her to stop drinking he would. As the conversation continued, Nathan became upset and walked away because he thought that Jenelle accused him of a drinking problem when she was only asking him a question. After their fight, Jenelle and Nathan agree that they do not want to fight when the baby came.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Nathan will wake up and realize that he needs to change? Let us know!
