Prince George, 11 months old, is gearing up for a very exciting first birthday on Tuesday, July 22. A new report has revealed intimate new details about the small party being planned for the royal baby, which will of course be attended by his great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Prince George’s First Birthday Party Details & Gifts Finally Revealed
Now that Prince George’s birthday is just a few hours away, Us Weekly is reporting that the Duke and Duchess have something small and intimate planned for their little guy instead.
“The family is marking it privately with close family and friends at Kensington Palace,” a royal spokesperson told the outlet.
Insiders later revealed that Kate and William have planned an indoor tea party, and they are hoping that the weather will be beautiful so they can the celebration into the garden after tea.
The report also claims that Kate and William are concerned about George becoming spoiled, so they are trying to keep things as tame as possible. That includes their gift choices, which will reportedly be some new clothes and wooden toys. How sweet!
However, Prince George may be receiving some lavish gifts from the Middleton’s side of the family. Kate’s mom and sister, Carole and Pippa, recently stopped by Blue Almonds in Chelsea, London browsing through baby stuff.

The portrait shows that the little prince started walking shortly before his first birthday, which is a very big deal!
