So shocking! Ex-Destiny’s Child member Farrah Franklin, 33, was arrested for disorderly conduct in South Carolina on July 20.
Former Destiny’s Child singer Farrah Franklin, 33, was arrested for disorderly conduct on Sunday, July 20 after police found her “highly intoxicated” in a stranger’s front yard, according to a new report.
Farrah Franklin Arrested: Ex-Destiny’s Child Member Busted For Disorderly Conduct
Farrah had reportedly been hanging out and partying with football players Ricky Sapp and Da’Quan Bowers before police found her in the stranger’s lawn, according to the UK’s Daily Mail.
Apparently Farrah and Da’Quan had been drinking cocktails together all day on July 19, and by the time they arrived to Ricky’s house, Farrah was already intoxicated.
After “screaming and slamming doors,” Farrah left the residence by herself, and that’s when the two athletes called the police, according to a new report from TMZ.
Ricky and Da’Quan told cops that they believed the former singer “had been doing drugs,” TMZ reports. When the police finally caught up to Farrah, she denied being on drugs, but they said she was “highly intoxicated” and “unsteady on her feet.”
Police arrested Farrah and brought her to the Horry County Detention Center at around 5 a.m. on July 20. In her mugshot, she can clearly be seen with a smirk on her face — so odd! The singer was later released on bond.
Farrah Franklin Booted From Destiny’s Child In 2000
Farrah joined Destiny’s Child in February, 2000, along with Michelle Williams. She didn’t last long, though — after just five months, Farrah was let go, leaving Kelly Rowland, Beyonce Knowles and Michelle as the remaining members until their eventual breakup in 2006.
Farrah was also arrested for disorderly conduct in LA in 2011, and apparently alcohol was involved then as well.
Hopefully this will be a wake-up call for Farrah and she will steer clear of any further run-ins with the law!
