Who doesn’t want to look like Kate Bosworth? Kate knows your secret desires! That’s why she launched a new smartphone app called Style Thief — to help you hunt down the desired items that you spot! At the launch party, Kate looked gorgeous in a RED Valentino dress and an elegant braided updo! Get her exact hairstyle below.
We are glad to know that we are now able to hunt down the celeb styles we love with the help from Kate Bosworth, 31, who launched her new app on July 16 at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, CA. This new app sounds pretty awesome as it allows users to “snap and steal” any clothing item they see. It’s pretty much the “Shazam of Fashion,” — so cool. Kate understands fashion envy, which is why she created the app. But talking about fashion envy reminds us that we are naturally drawn to Kate’s beauty as well! We spoke to Kate’s hairstylist so you can copy her amazing milkmaid braid.

“Everybody has fashion envy. Everyone can relate to that feeling of looking at an editorial, for example — or a friend, or the runway, for that matter — wanting to steal something exactly as you are seeing it, or something similar,” Kate said.
Amen! We struggle with style envy all the time — good thing Kate helped us find a solution!
While we are excited about the new fashion app, we are interested in Kate’s look at the launch as well! Celebrity hairstylist Bridget Brager worked with Kate for the party and Bridget told us insider details about Kate’s hair!
Kate Bosworth’s Braided Updo — Get The Look
Bridget talked about the inspiration for Kate’s hair: “Kate’s braided hairstyle was intricate and romantic to match the scenery at the Chateau Marmont and her gorgeous RED Valentino dress.”
Here’s the step by step:
“I started by giving her hair a good douse of Phytovolume Actif Volumizing Spray, roots to ends. To set in texture and add thickness, I blew her hair dry using my hands, really concentrating on lifting her hair away from the scalp and up off of her head, especially around the hairline.
Next, I created a disheveled deep part. Starting at the crown, along the part, I began braiding forward so the braid would fall towards her forehead concealing her hair line, which is what gave way to a soft romantic feel. Then I started a second and third braid at her temples, braiding back on each side.
I used Kevin Murphy Easy Ride pomade to tame flyaways and add a bit of shine. I loosened the braids to make them billowy and voluminous. To get the detail in the back, I wove the braids together and pinned them low to give a halo effect.
To finish, I sprayed a lightt coat of L’Oreal Elnett Hairspray and allowed any bits to fall as they may — and she was set!”
