Bravo is making Sunday nights glisten with their new show, ‘Game of Crowns.’ It follows the lives of six housewives competing in married women pageants. One of the stars of the show, Vanassa Sebastian, EXCLUSIVELY spilled some details to HollywoodLife.com about your soon-to-be guilty pleasure!
Did you catch the season premiere of Game of Crowns on July 13? Star Vanassa Sebastian already holds the title Mrs. Connecticut 2012, but now this beauty queen’s pageant journey is about to be broadcasted every sunday night in Bravo’s new reality show. Vanassa exclusively told HollywoodLife.com about the glitz, the glam, the drama with her five other gorgeous co-stars, and why she thinks you need to watch this phenomenal new show!
‘Game Of Crowns’ Vanassa — She Explains Housewives Competing For A Sparkly Crown
Tiaras are not just for toddlers! Game of Crowns shows us that married women do not have to live out their pageant fantasies through their children — they can compete for themselves!
If you are familiar with Bravo’s reality shows, then you are familiar with the cat fights between over-the-top grown women — but now add a crown to the mix! So what’s gonna happen when pageant wives, Vanassa Sebastian, Susanna Paliotta, Shelley Carbone, Lynne Diamante, Leha Guilmette, and Lori-Ann Marchese compete against each other?
When asking Vanassa about the competition with the her castmates, she told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY: “There is this pageant bond we all have with other pageant sisters. We are all friendly, but at the end of the day I am competing against them. Mostly I compete against myself. I’m not trying to get it twisted, I do not want to lose. I’m not going there to lose, some of the girls are like ‘I’m not here to win.’ Thats a bunch of bulls**t — yes you are. You’re not rolling in there spending this kind of money on a trainer or interview coach, and thousands of dollars on dresses and costumes to lose!”
Vanassa Sebastian‘s Pageant Prep — Her Inspriational Journey For The Crown
To compete in the Mrs. America contest, you must be married, and the age of the wives range from early 20s to 50s. Mrs. America is pretty much the housewife that can do it all — interview perfectly, look good in ball gowns, and, of course, rock a swimsuit.
Vanassa shared with us the inspirational journey that she went through to win the 2012 Mrs. Connecticut: “I’m doing this because I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Now I’m taking tamoxifen — which makes you fat. I thought, what better way to motivate myself before I started taking tamoxifen, then to get in the best shape of my life? I wanted to be physically fit, so I did it and competed against myself and won!”
Vanessa adds, “I’m like any other woman, I go up, I go down, I like to eat! I like junk food, I love candy! But when I am competing, I definitely diet and watch what I eat. I exercise five or six days a week. Three days I’ll do high intense interval training with a trainer. It really is watching your portion control. And you know, I love some bread and candy! I’m like a carb addict, it’s crazy! But you can’t always eat that stuff.”
Competing On National Television — More Pressure?
With cameras now following their every move, Vanassa says, “Now it completely heightened the level of competition, because no one wants to be a loser, especially on national TV!”
Vanassa also added, “We are all women competing against each other and at the end of the day, you can’t take it too seriously. You need to be confident with who you are as a person, what you have and where you come from. Whether you lose or win. I’ve been at both ends; I’ve lost and I’ve won.”
Sounds like we will be seeing housewives like we have never seen them before!
Why should YOU watch Game of Crowns? Vanassa says, “You cannot make this sh*t up! It’s honestly crazy!”
So HollywoodLifers, are you going to tune in every sunday to Bravo for our new favorite show, Game of Crowns?
