On July 13, 2013, ‘Glee’ star Cory Monteith was found dead in his room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in Vancouver at the young age of 31. We’re remembering the actor in pics.
We at HollywoodLife.com are shocked that it has already been a year since the horrific death of Cory Monteith, the actor we loved just as much as character. Finn Hudson, on Glee. Today, we’re celebrating his life by looking through a gallery of pictures of his best times.
Cory Monteith: Anniversary Of Death
Following the tragic passing — to which his autopsy showed was due to heroin and alcohol — the Glee cast as well as his friends and family took time to mourn the late actor, while we all remembered him as we saw him on tv: with that smile.
His girlfriend and costar, Lea Michele, mourned her boyfriend but stayed positive. Over the year, she has done interviews explaining that everything she does in life is positive for him.
“I somehow feel the insane love Cory and I had for each other morphed into this strength that I have right now,” she said in Teen Vogue. “There’s just something about knowing he’s watching everything I’m doing and feeling like I have to do everything now not just for me but for him. I also have a safety net below me — if I fall or if it’s too much, my friends and family will be there to catch me.”
We know that he’s looking over Lea, too — and on this day, she will be mostly keeping to herself.
“She is going to make a mention of it on Twitter and Instagram but for most of the day she is going to mourn on her own time and keep her thoughts and feelings to herself,” a source close to her told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She knows that Cory would want to live her life and that is exactly what she will be doing.”
Our thoughts are with Lea, as well as Cory’s other friends and family today and always.
