Rita is flawless in DKNY’s latest ad campaign, which boasts an NYC theme and lots of hot New Yorkers. Standing among them and in no way taking center stage, Rita also proves her humility in these pics, posing with regular people and looking confident and fierce doing it.
Reminding the world she’s still Rita from NYC (even if by way of London), Rita Ora takes part in DKNY’s Fall 2014 collection campaign as one of the “real New Yorkers” featured in the ads. Meant to embody the hipster fashion and ultra-cool aura that is New York, the campaign features groups of the city’s inhabitants in various outfits and styles from the upcoming collection, all banded together in tight cliques.
Rita Ora In DKNY Campaign
At first peek, I had to seek out Rita in the photos, which surprised me considering how stunning she is. But as soon a I spotted her in one pic, she jumped out at me in the rest as well, with those golden locks and that hard, coy glance she does so well. This made me realize that Rita was not trying to scene-steal at all, which is very admirable considering she’s a superstar posing among less famous people in the campaign. Well done, Miss Ora! That is pure class.
Not surprising after her recent stint topless for Roberto Cavalli, Rita is a master fashion model, and she looks effortlessly cool in every shot. But beyond that, the pictures are also special to the 23-year-old hip hop star because of her heartfelt connection with the city itself.
Rita Ora Holds New York City In Her Heart
The “RIP” singer loves NYC, as she moved there at 17 to pursue a music career.
“It’s the first place I lived when I moved out of London to start my journey,” she explains in an interview for the campaign, “and it’s where it all began for me.”
In the interviews, cast members, which include model, Eliza Cummings and rapper, A$AP Illz, are also asked to share their favorite city hangouts, to which Rita reveals, “Soho house and the Darby, as they are both so private but have such great energy.”
Nice choice, Rita. Now who do I know with Soho House membership? What do you think of the new DKNY campaign, HollywoodLifers? Let us know!
