Happy 100th birthday, ‘Pretty Little Liars!’ To celebrate the show’s big milestone, Caleb returned, everyone made out, Spencer’s mom left Spencer’s dad and ‘A’ resurfaced. Welcome back to Rosewood, Mr. Rivers…
Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) isn’t the only one who returned to Pretty Little Liars — Jenna (Tammin Sursok) is back in town. And yes, she’s just as creepy as ever. So why is she there? “To finish what Shana started,” so says Emily (Shay Mitchell), aka she knows that Shana is dead. Read on to see how Aria (Lucy Hale) is dealing with being a murderer this week! Spoiler alert: Ezra (Ian Harding) is involved!
Alison Returns To Rosewood High
Ali (Sasha Pieterse) made her long-awaited return to school, and although the overly-dramatic background music to welcome her back should have gotten her suspended, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) was the one called into the principal’s office. Spencer’s mom showed up to tell her that she’s leaving Mr. Hastings, and she’s taking Spencer with her. (This is one game of hooky I would not want to be part of.)
The only good thing about Spencer’s troubles is that Toby (Keegan Allen) comforts her with a good ‘ol Spoby make out.
During the liars’ totally normal schoolyard chat, Aria reveals that she wants to swing by Jenna’s to help console her over Shana’s death — oops, I mean, murder. So it’s safe to say that Aria is still freaking out.
On the other end of Rosewood High, Emily is schmoozing with new bestie Sydney (Chloe Bridges) who invites her to the glee club’s Frozen singalong. Paige (Lindsey Shaw), however, just can’t let it go when it comes to her emotions, which in turn, brings together Paily, plus Alison.
Emily’s first love apologizes to Emily’s second love for “all of it” and also ends up saying sorry to Em for how she treated her back when they were experimenting — er, kissing — but it’s not enough. Yet. Emily chooses to hang out with Paige, but don’t get too excited…
Caleb Returns To Rosewood
Hanna (Ashley Benson) isn’t the only one sporting a new hairstyle (we love those black streaks, girl). Caleb is back with short hair, and a shorter fuse. He didn’t even call Hanna when he came back to town!
To comfort her Caleb sorrows, Hanna guzzles down some punch with Lucas (Brendan Robinson) and the liquid courage brings out the truth — Lucas is “doing it” with his alleged new girlfriend! It also brings on a blackout and the admission to her momma that Caleb. Is. Back.
Aria & Alison In Danger
You’d think we’d get a little break from people popping out at us, at least on the 100th episode, but nope. Jenna shows up, scaring Aria nearly half to death, and Mona (Janel Parrish) creeps up behind Ali, just after she sends an “SOS” text to the liars.
The common thread between Jenna and Mona? They’re both Chatty Cathy about Shana all of a sudden. Mona knows that the girls were in New York, and threatens Ali to leave town, and it ends up in a smack down. Seriously, the Real Housewives of Atlanta have nothing on these girls. High schoolers can hit hard!
Mona’s army takes on Ali’s liars, bombarding them in Rosewood’s halls with a recording of the slap. Yep, Mona filmed their cat fight — and no, she didn’t record herself hitting Ali.
Guess who else a part of Mona’s army? Sydney. And Jenna. And they’re wearing matching shades, which are both equally disturbing.
Ezria! Ezria! Ezria! And Wait — Who Just Made Out?
Thank gawwwwd Aria killed Shana because it’s really sending her in a tailspin back to Ezra. She shows up at his apartment again this week, and not to play chess. They make out! And I’m pretty sure they do a little bit more than that.
Let’s also point out Ezra’s abs — I mean gunshot wound.
But wait! ALISON AND EMILY KISS. In bed. During their sleepover. They make out. I repeat, they make out.
‘A’ Is Back In Rosewood
Just when things were getting good with everyone making out, the Jane Doe in “Ali’s grave” is identified.
Hanna brings Caleb to join all of Rosewood’s finest to watch the police deliver the news: the girl buried alive was Bethanny Young, a 17-year-old patient from Radley who ran away the night Ali went missing. (Or shall we say was “allegedly kidnapped”?)
As if that wasn’t enough news for one night, a huge explosion goes off. Who’s the culprit? You guessed it…
HollywoodLifers, can you believe that “A” is back? Who do you think it is? Is there more to the girl that was buried alive? Are you happy that Caleb is back? Do you think that Spencer will really leave Rosewood? Drop a comment below with all of your thoughts and theories!
