More shocking new details in the case against Justin Ross Harris. A new search warrant issued by police claims the alleged murderer has been more concerned about his son’s life insurance policy while in jail than anything else.
Justin Ross Harris, 33, is not making his lawyer’s job any easier these day. The father who is accused of intentionally leaving his 22-month-old son Cooper to die inside of a hot car for several hours has allegedly been instructing his family to collect the substantial life insurance policy he and his wife, Leanna Harris, 30, had for their toddler.
Justin Ross Harris Wants Family To Claim Cooper’s Life Insurance Policy
Things continue to get more bizarre in the case against Justin Ross Harris.
The Georgia father charged with second-degree child cruelty and felony murder of his toddler son, Cooper, has allegedly been more concerned about his son’s$27,000 life insurance policies, reports People.
“Through the investigation, Harris has made comments to family members regarding a life insurance policy that he has on Cooper and what they need to do in order to file for it,” reads a search warrant issued by the Cobb County Police Department on June 24.
Justin was arrested on June 18 shortly after “discovering” his toddler’s lifeless body in the backseat of his car after leaving work. The father claims he forgot to drop his son off at daycare and accidentally left him in the backseat while he went to work.
CCPD feel much differently about the situation, which is why Justin has been charged in his son’s death. Justin is currently being held without bond.
