Now that Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy are officially leaving ‘The View,’ there are about to be big changes to the long-running show. With two major departures AND Barbara Walters out for retirement, it’s time to give ‘The View’ a big shakeup that no one sees coming!
First, Barbara Walters left The View in May and officially retired from the show. Then the shocking news came that Jenny McCarthy AND Sherri Shepherd were leaving, too! Just this morning, Jenny and Sherri talked about their departures from the show — it’s officially real. It’s time to bring on outspoken women who will NEVER be afraid to speak their minds!
Sarah Palin: ‘The View’ Co-Host? — She Should Join Alongside Rosie O’Donnell
All we have left is Whoopi Goldberg holding down the table — and while a source tells HollywoodLife.com that “Whoopi isn’t going anywhere,” she can’t possibly be a one-woman show. I think it’s time to bring on someone who always gets people fired up. Someone like Sarah Palin.
The View has been on the air for 17 seasons — it’s time to switch things up and get people on the panel who will deliver EXACTLY what the show’s all about — opposing viewpoints from passionate people.
There have been reports that Rosie O’Donnell could come back to the show she co-hosted for one year. Rosie was outspoken, controversial and we never knew what she was going to say next! Love her or hate her, some of the most exciting times at The View happened when Rosie was on the panel! I say, bring Rosie back.
Sarah Palin Would Be A Strong Conservative Voice On ‘The View
Even more than that, I think Sarah would be an AMAZING addition on the show! Hear me out: Just like Rosie, Sarah gets people talking. When she was running for Vice President, no one dominated the airwaves more. People love to hate on Sarah, but her conservative views represent a big population of the United States.
I don’t think the show has had a strong conservative voice since Elizabeth Hasselback left. Remember how Elizabeth and Rosie interacted? It was intense and oftentimes completely uncomfortable — and that’s what makes great TV! When Elizabeth and Rosie would battle it out, we couldn’t tear our eyes away from the TV. That’s what Sarah could do for the show!
Sarah would be the perfect counterbalance to Rosie. The View isn’t supposed to be the kind of place where everyone agrees — it’s supposed to be a constant debate about how women from everywhere have different and varying views about everything!
Whether or not someone necessarily agrees with Sarah’s right-leaning political beliefs, a lot of viewers are still likely to turn on their TV to see Sarah spar over the day’s hottest news from her point of view.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Sarah and Rosie could be good replacements on The View? Who do you want to see on the panel? Let me know!
