All hail Novak Djokovic! After an impressive match against Roger Federer, it was Novak who walked away with the men’s Wimbledon final after beating Roger 5-4 in the final round. Congrats to Novak!
What a showdown. Roger Federer, 32, and Novak Djokovic, 27, met up for the men’s Wimbledon final on July 6. After incredible match, Novak proved to be the best at Wimbledon. Novak won the men’s Wimbledon final. Tis a great day for sure!
Novak Djokovic Wins Men’s Wimbledon Final
The biggest event in tennis came to a close on July 5. The men’s Wimbledon singles final was a battle between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, with TK the winner.
These two are esteemed tennis pros, so you knew it was going to be an epic match.
Roger started things off with a win in the first set 7-6. However, Novak looked to even the playing field by beating Roger in the second set 6-4. The third set was a constant back and forth between Roger and Novak. Novak managed to tie the third set 5-5. They tied things up 6-6, resulting in an intense tiebreak. Novak took the third set lead 7-6 after winning the tiebreak 7-4 to head into the fourth set.
In the fourth round, Roger made an fantastic comeback with a 7-5 win. The final set was going to be intense for sure. However, it was Novak who reigned supreme yet again. He beat Roger 5-4 to take the Wimbledon title!
Novak clutched his Wimbledon trophy and said his opponent was a “magnificent champion.” Then, he joked to Roger, “Thank you for letting me win today.”

Federer was after his 8th Wimbledon title after beating Canada’s Milos Raonic 6-4 in three sets on July 4. Federer last won in 2012. The 32-year-old last met up with Djokovic in 2007 for the U.S. Open, where Federer was the winner.
Djokovic beat out Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-finals on July 4. He was a finalist in the French Open, but lost to Rafael Nadal. He had previously won the Wimbledon title in 2011.
Men’s Wimbledon Final: Kate Middleton, Prince William & More Attend
The biggest event in tennis brought out the biggest stars! Royals Kate Middleton and Prince William hit Wimbledon to watch Roger and Novak play. In addition, Kate Winslet, Bradley Cooper, Hugh Jackman, and David and Victoria Beckham attended the incredible tennis match.
Once again, congrats to Novak! What a great ride, As for Roger, there’s always next year!
