Russel Neal: Hi-Five Singer In Custody After Wife Found Dead In Houston Home
Russell Neal has no history of a criminal record, but he’s now in custody, following a serious incident: his wife was found dead in their Texas apartment.
The R&B singer reportedly called the police frantically on July 2, stating that his wife was dead and that he needed a lawyer.
Russell was then taken to the local jail in Houston where he explained that he and his wife had an argument, and then refused to speak any further, according to TMZ.
His attorney told the site, “We are aware of the situation and are presently evaluating it.”
You may recognize Russell’s name, but he’s had his fair share of fame over the years. Hi-Five‘s song, “I like The Way (Kissing Game)” was number one on the charts in 1991 and in 1992, “She’s Playing Hard To Get” was another huge hit.
The group went their separate ways in 1994, but reunited in 2005, only two years before lead singer Tony Thompson died from inhaling the toxic substance, freon.
We’re totally shocked by this news, but only time will tell what the truth is. What do YOU think really happened, HollywoodLifers?
